PES 2016 Demo Discussion

Great stuff. The game is already a winner for me.

Its's no where near as sloppy as 15 in this regard. I also noticed they seemed to have fixed that sloppy crap where you'd win the ball and the defender would get in your way when hes on the ground and slows you up. From the one instance I noticed I wasn't slowed down all that much at all and was alot more natural.

Well, I was playing on Superstar.

I've been looking out for this on Superstar myself, and the CPU hasn't really being doing it. In saying that, I did pressurise them with the team pressure(double tap X/square and hold) anytime I got a sniff it might happen and they pass it forward. Which team were you and the CPU using? I tried playing against Juventus, who I thought would be the most defensive and do this but it didn't happen. Still early days, though!:)

For me it was worse with the lesser quality teams ie Palmeiras and Corinthians.

Yeah, I played 2 games with both those teams, using either one each time against each other, and at times they did pass it around the back a bit compared to the other teams. From what I've played, its not as bad as 15, as using teammate pressure in numbers seems to help end it quick enough and force them into mistakes. I'm not worried about it when you can do something about. It was that problem that really stopped me playin 15 all that much anymore. After playin it for months, Superstar was the only real challenge left to play it, but that crap just killed it for me when you could do fek all most of the time.

Going back to the demo, I think short to medium lob throughballs go far too high in the air. They need to be lower in order to come down quicker at that range. At that range your attack should be quicker and not give the defenders all day to see it comin, we're not playing rugby with garryowens. In every match I've also noticed that tackle doesn't work sometimes. It only happens a couple of times at most, but its noticeable. Needs fixing. The jury is still out on the new finesse shot, is it a little underpowered? I'm still only trying to get used to it.

Hi guys

I dont have the opportunity to play the DEMO. I want to ask that in PES 2016 is passing good? I mean can you pass the ball accuratelly to your teammate on Super star LV or its still like in PES 15 even you get the power and direction absolutely right, the ball still goes to opposition or gets intercepted by AI, top teams like Baca or Bayer Mu do this a lot, its so annoying. If interceptions happens occasionally its fine, but on SUPER STAR, those top teams get beefed up, interceptions occur way too ofen, passing feels like shit. So how is passing in PES 2016?

Another question, can you score longrange goals? I mean like from 30 yards away.

On Super Star LV, does AI player still dance through into penalty box from wings and its unstoppable?

Hope you guys can answer my questions, thanks in advance.

Ali, Ratmonkey, What is your say about my questions? thanks.

Passing seems very similar to PES 2015, my main issue with it is (don't know if anyone else has noticed) that the short weak passes bobble a bit ie they don't play them straight along the ground.

You can still score long range goals. And yes, AI players still dance their way into the box.

Hi there

I am not trying to double post the same thing here, since nobody responded to my questions yet, want to ask again after you guys played the PES 2016 DEMO, what do you think about passing in general? especially on Super Star LV.

Can you score long range goals, like from 30 yards out?

Do CPU players like neymar and Muller still dance through into penalty box
from wings and its indefendable? on Super star LV

Replies will be appreciated.

thanks for your reply admin Ali, sorry for reposting

If other gamers have sth to say about my questions, plz do, thanks.

A few questions:

Does the ai still mainly attack down the wings and rarely if ever cross the ball into the box instead try to dribble the way through?

if you have a player in an offside position does your pass aim for that player when you clearly was not aiming for him still?

Corners is 1 thing that really frustrates me on 15, to me it seems every team lines up exactly the same for every corner 1 player just outside the box and 2 defenders on halfway line would love to see more variety but i doubt that has changed was way to easy to counter attack.

And hows the controlled shot still way to easy to score with?

optimistic - with regards to nobody replying, your original post was made early in the morning EU time, so please give it time. :)

- Yes, AI still attacks down the wing a lot, they do however cross the ball sometimes.

- Yes, your pass will still go to the player in an offside position.

- Controlled shots are still a bit overpowered.

Another point - when the AI has a goal kick, they really don't like playing it long. There's always a defender wide on each side for them to pass to, and unless you're playing wingers, it's impossible to cover both sides.

@ Ali

Oh, sorry, did not pay much attention to the time, no wonder nobody replied, it was too early, most gamers were still in bed.... dreaming about scoring goals in PES 2016 maybe. Haha.

A bit disappointed to know that no special improvement made about passing the ball around on Super Star LV. But its not a big bother, will get used to passing after for a while in PES 2016.

Pleased to know that you can score long range screamer goals, thats nice.

After long playing PES 2015, I can accept that top players like Robben, neymar, Muller can manage to dance into the box and score, if its the same in PES 2016, well, that means on Super star LV, game will be very challenging, need to score more goals to counter this thing. So will play harder and better on Super Star LV.

By judging the feedbacks coming from other PES gamers after playing the DEMO, looks like PES 2016 is overall a better game comparing with PES 15. Maybe more information about playing the demo will be coming soon from other guys, I ll see.

More thoughts and opinions about the DEMO are welcomed, THX.

The passing is very similar to 15. The only difference I see is that its a bit more responsive, which mightn't be a good thing if you start to ping pong it which I haven't tried yet. I didn't have much of a problem passing to my teammates in 15 when my accuracy is spot on. Yes, its harder because the AI marks space better and makes it more difficult, but I certainly didn't find it an issue. If anything Superstar is easier this year I feel. The emotions, or momentum or scripting others call it(called emotions in the game), seems to have been toned down. Teams are less powerful and fast compared to what they were, which is a good thing as it was over the top especially on Superstar last year.

I scored a screamer of a volley from outside the box with oscar and a few other shots, so yes thats fine.

In over 15 games I've played only once has the AI on Superstar tried to dance through the box from the wing. So thats been toned down. That contradicts with Ali, but thats my experience with it.

A few questions:

And hows the controlled shot still way to easy to score with?

I haven't found it that easy to score with them. I haven't used them that much yet to get used to them. They definitely are toned down from last year, alot weaker in power. They also feel a bit weird. The animation looks awkward or something.

I've noticed this. The same as last year. Fucking irritating. Anytime the AI has players free out the wing from kick off, the goalie passes to them. It's tedious to say the least. It's not even that realistic. Teams will always mix it up IRL regardless.

One thing about the goalies I've noticed. Their parrying is a lot better. They will actively push the ball away from an attacker when saving to stop them getting a tap in. Much improved over 15. Only once has the goalie parried it to an attacker to score so far in what I've played of the demo.

I have noticed it a few times, but it seems more "manageable" than 2015.

I've found scoring more difficult in general this year, as I'm getting used to the demo. One thing I have noticed with the controlled shots - in 2015 they always seem to try to curl it, whereas in 2016, they often try to place it. I made a thread on here about how difficult it was (in 2015) to score controlled shots across goal. Seems easier to do in this one.

It's far worse than in 2015 IMO. Was a lot easier to cover the positions in 2015. Plus, even when you do cover the positions in the 2016 demo, the AI keeper will still play a short pass, and the invisible barrier around the box will stop you from intercepting. Is it an actual football rule that you can't enter the box on a goal kick until another player has touched the ball??

ps3 version neymar having no tattoos

I'm pretty sure the PS3 and Xbox 360 don't have the face scan that the PS4 and Xbox One has. I've seen how neymar looks before and after the face scan on PS4, and the Xbox 360 definitely looks like him before the scan. It's to be expected stuff like that will be left out for the last generation.

I've haven't tried to mark the free player yet in the demo to try to force the goalie to kick it up the field. The main reason being, its fucking tedious and predictable. Everytime you see them free you go "here we go again, sigh". If thats the case they still do it anyway this year, thats hateful:laugh:, especially because of that invisible barrier. Who in Konami thought that would be a good idea? If the AI or a person is stupid enough to run the risk of getting the ball intercepted when your attacker is close, thats there problem. It's perfectly legitimite and also some what smugly satisfying to catch them out like that. Having them do it now this year regardless of whether your close to intercept is beyond crap to say the least as you can't do nothing with that barrier. I already feel it grating on my nerves. Completely unnecessary crap.
