Xbox version is Crap!
I am really considering trading PES 6 for the 360 for that of the PS2!
The most dissapointing game in the series yet, a major backwards step.
I don't know if it is just me, but it is really dull, even on a usually heated competitive 2 player game. They say it every year that you'll hate the subtle differences to begin with but learn to love it eventually, but not with this one I'm afraid. I might just be splitting hairs but the following grind my gears:
PS: this is without even going into the whole No Edit Mode or Replay save farce!!
1. All the pitches (even the usually lush Nou Camp) look like they are dry African pitches, with little difference no matter which of the 8 stadiums you play.
2. The team that doesn't win is usually the team that fails to take most of their 20 or so one-on-ones during a game. One through ball or turned defender is all it takes. This may not seem dull but really is when it happens time after time without really working for it.
3. Pressing the player with the ball (RB+A) does jack shit to stop or even hamper opponent any more, even with Paddy Vieria or John Terry.
4. Nothing in terms of animations that has not been seen before on PS2.
ie; Pushing, complaining to the ref....
5. What is the point of working it down the wings and crossing the ball, cause sure as shit your attacker won't win a cross with any end product.
6. Build up play is slow and laboured, almost FIFA like at times as players slip into pre set animations for passes ect..
7. No PES shop=No incentive to play tournaments like Asia Cup to get points.
8. Not a great improvement on graphics and smoothness for next gen. (When compared to Fight Night, Call of Duty 2..ect)
9. Konami are lazy and need a slap.
Don't know if these 'flaws' are consistant with the PS2 version (I know that the PS2 version has 34 stadiums, full edit mode and replay save feature).
