Lag/slowdown/gameplay Speed

does the console automaticly change to widescreen when you play pes6?? and what lag won t be there anymore: fouls ? corners ? subs ? the lag many people have when playing and a friend signs in to live or sends a message ??

I dont use xbox live (dont have time besides one v one). If you have widescreen tv, you may of changed the display setting on the xbox360 console to widescreen, revert it back to normal screen setting and the gameplay is a little faster (right pace), its a big difference to the gameplay. also there is no slowdown on corners or anywhere else. its complete. ive noticed the A1 is alot tighter aswell.

Got it on the PS2 like what i've played so far. Have not played any mates yet only the com' . I think the game play is a little bit slower or is it that i'am finding it harder to get slick passing going ? Not sure any one else found the same ? Not had any goals worth saving so far but seen other's saying NO saving on replays, that can only be a bad thing !

It is definately slower, I've played mates and they were all fun games. And you can save replays for PS2 just not 360.

really apart from the Edit mode, saving replays etc, having played quite a few hours on it as i have 360 version, the gameplay really is much tighter...the A1 on 6 level is tough...i mastered it winning eleven 10 ps2, but on 360 its hard not necessarily to score goals even though that takes alot of breaking down the opponents. Really in comparison the gameplay is why we all play the game, and for that reason 360 version is worth it on its own. (apart from the graphics)

Go the 360 version. We are a bunch of PES fans here in Athens and we are all outraged. The gameplay is fine as usual but the 360 version is a joke. We dont mind the inferior graphics or the sad-bad sound. Where's the edit mode, the replay saves, so many fetaures left out. And "all" this for a higher price tag!!!
Penalty for Konami. Bring on the marketplace add-ons or just recall the cut-off product!!

I've been so excited about this game for so long. Managed to get a copy on Thursday for the 360. Yes the game is absoluetly brilliant. But why am I paying £40 for a game that has more features on the ps2? Little things that made the installment great have been taken away & not replaced with anything apart from shinier graphics and better AI. Memorial Match, player ratings, EDITING!!!! Massive massive chunks of the game that I love so much has been taken away.

Overall: Extremely Disapoointed. Still the best game in the world but I still have PS2 people laughing at me. I expected more features not less.

Question: I've only been playing my PS2 version for a day or so, but to my note there has been no input from the "pitchside reporter" Is it included in the European release?

I think it must be the thing that comes up when you press start that tells you who's scored. Other than that, I dunno.

The gameplay is very good, the International Challenge is quality and I just can't wait to get an option file and kick some ass ML stylee.

got the ps2 version, great addition. only a few things that i've noticed so far that have annoyed me:

1.keepers are still shocking. two of my mates were playing a game the other day and one had a shot from 45 yards with adriano that was going about 6 or 7 yards wide. keeper attempted to punch it one-handed, bounced off him and the spin carried it over the line. hilarious, but not cool...
2.breaking down the wings, i've noticed that cutting back to beat a defender isn't half as good as pes5. players just seem to trip over themselves if they change direction.
3.dribbling is too easy. i've seen videos of aaron lennon taking the ball from right back past about 6 players and cross for berbatov to score. when was the last time anyone saw lennon beat more that 1 player? going the length of the field... a bit miffed...
4.Konami seem to have gone VERY overboard with the reebok stuff in the game. most of the balls are shit and they've got rid of the adidas finale (champions league ball). WHY?????????

overall though, still definitely a brilliant game and these things are only minor faults. . .

I play PS2,

KONAMI has taken PES6 downhill and is in the process of selling out. Soon there will be little difference between our game and the vile FIFA.

Well, a debate....I like debates. My point of view is this: this is a year of changes, that's why PES 6 is almost identical to PES 5, let me explain, there are new gaming platforms, x360 and PS3, Konami didnt want to fire all its ammo into something untested yet, that's the origin of the half-assed 360 version, so they cut costs by revamping a little bit PES 5 and then calling it PES 6, while focusing all their effort towards an all new PES for PS3 and 360 to be released next year. That's it.

It's not identical, its worse. LICENSES ARE SCREWED - THERE IS NO GERMAN LEAGUE. THERE IS A COMMERICAL IN THE REPLAYS. JOSH KENNEDY HAS SHORT BLACK HAIR.

How are people overlooking these MAJOR stuff-ups?!?

No matter how much you complain or don't like the game or how much it annoys you when your opponent will do the fartiest shot ever and your keeper will act as if he's been shot and they score due to appauling AI on the goalkeepers, you're going to play this until the next installment of PES comes out. You don't have a choice unless you play FIFA or some other football orientated game. It has its faults but it is still the best out there and no matter how much you go on about it you're going to playing this game. And the bottom line for me is that it is better than PES5 and I enjoyed PES5. And the debate continues...

I agree. But maybe that's what they wanted us to feel and that's why PES5 was so mediocre?
It's a good theory, Zygalski, and very likely.

I'm playing it on PC, but what i have to share is something probably subject to every platform.

These Konami dim wits, still don't have a clue how to make faces and stadiums.

Many of the shirt numbers are wrong, even though they were given months ago, and there are also players in the wrong teams.

Apart from that, i'm liking the gameplay, so far, which isn't really relevant to this thread.
