How to improve my download speed? When I did a connection test at speedtest.net, my download was around 400 kbps. This is a lot slower than doing a test using my PC, which I usually get 700 kbps.

PS3 update

got in a quick game of BAL before the snow-bound journey to work today (so sorry I'm late ;)) and before launching into the game I was prompted to make an update upon auto login.
Anyone know what the update contains and is it for a further patch for PES or unrelated?

Answers on a postcard to...

Hi everyone, in the next PS3 firmware update (v2.53), coming soon, we’re improving the way the Flash Player works with the internet browser. In addition to being able to access more sites using Flash, you’ll be able to enjoy:

Full-screen mode playability
Live movie (using RTMP format) playability

Nice... but alas no patch to make online PES playable

This could've gone in the PS3 thread...

Either way, the Flash player "improvements" are still shit, because ever since it was first introduced, most videos on Youtube won't play for me. They were fine before it. :/

Just a few more days until my PS3 gets here. Sometimes I wish I could have those sleeping chambers that astronauts have in movies so they can go to sleep for days/months and then wake up with no harmful consequences.

Anyway, I've been reading that you can play old Playstation 1 games on the PS3 by downloading them from the store, but if you have the original disc, does it work in the PS3 system?

Assuming that your PS1 games are bought in your country, then, yes. I'm not really sure whether an imported PS1 games work with your USA PS3.

Not too sure about that... I know my original 60GB version had backwards compatability (to a certain degree - thanks Sony), but the 40GB version, the compatability was dropped...

Not sure exactly how the new models rate...
