Hmm, looks like it might get boring quickly. Dead Rising 2 is the next zombie game i'm looking forward to - if I ever want to fuck up some zombies I just play Left 4 Dead these days.
Talking of Left4Dead, will the PC be getting the same patch that 360 users are due to get some time over the next month? I heard there's gonna be a new level added which will hopefully just make the game even better.

Dead Rising 2 is probably the one game I'm most looking forward to aside from CoD: MW2. I have the first on the 360 and it's a great laugh, especially the bit with the lawnmower. Good times.

Yeah the first Dead Rising was great. When I had an xbox I played that non-stop for hours man, such a good game.

I was happy when they announced it weren't xbox exclusive :D

Yeah, I have it on PC, and they tend to dish out updates and such for the PC first, but this new update I think will be released on both at the same time.

Free for the 360 as well.

I'm so pleased that it's gonna be free, the map pack for CoD4 was overpriced and wasn't worth it at all.

Are there any more details on Dead Rising 2? as all I've seen is that viral video where we see the main character in a hamster's ball. Do you reckon we'll be able to play it online?

Only that it's certain to be out by March next year. Which, let's be honest, we'd be very disappointed if it wasn't. :/

I hope there's a bit of online free roam. Say up to 4 players can just go around killing zombies leisurely, with optional little tasks. Something as simple as that would add tons of hours of fun.

If it had 4 player online free roam, that'd be fantastic. The one thing about Left4Dead is that doing the same levels over and over can be a little repetitive at times. I'm guessing the PC version is different though as I imagine they have loads of great mods like Counter Strike has.

Haha, you'd think so, but there's none as of yet. However that changes when this new update is released because they're releasing the development kit they use to make the game. Some modders have already started designing new campaigns, once they get their hands on the tools, we will start to see some new content.

I dont know why, but I keep going back to Left 4 Dead every so often, something draws me to it, its just so fun.

NVIDIA licenses PhysX technology for Sony's PlayStation 3

After being on the tip of gamers' tongues last summer, NVIDIA's PhysX technology has cooled a bit in terms of sheer popularity. That said, we've no doubt that the buzz will be back in force after this one clears the airwaves. NVIDIA has just announced that it has nailed down a tools and middleware license agreement for Sony's PlayStation 3, effectively bringing the aforesaid physics tech to what's arguably the most potent game console on the market today. As a result of the deal, a PhysX software development kit (SDK) is now available to registered PS3 developers as a free download for use on the SCEI Developer Network. What exactly this means for future PS3 games remains to be seen, but one's things for sure: it's only up from here.

I'm not entirely sure what this means. It seems like good news though.

Maybe someone tech-heavy could shed a little light on the situation? :>

It allows the GPU (graphic processor unit) to do physics calculations allowing the processor (CPU) to concentrate on other tasks, producing a greater framerate. Games must be written to take advantage of this.

I'm not sure how big the advantage will be on the PS3 as there aren't many PC games taking advantage of it fully despite it being around for a few years. Still, its nothing bad.

Has anyone heard of the game Flower ? Unfortunately for me, it's only out on the PS3 since it uses the six-asis. It looks like a remarkably relaxing game though, here's the trailer anyway:

Looks different, but like a good game. Not sure how much it costs though.

Can get it through the PS Store, can't remember how much, but doubt it's more than £7-8 squiddinks. Seen the demo & spoke to a mate who has it. General perception is that you don't even feel like you're playing a game! If I wasn't skint I'd probably have checked it out by now...

Wow, I've moved forward twice, both times a cut scene has interrupted.
