I was a bit confused as it seemed like some people were playing online. This must be a big update if it's going down for that long. Any strong rumours as to what it might be? I'll have to stick to playing Enslaved since it's gonna be down all night.

Right. I am back for one night only and to ask you one question.

What is the best way to repair YLOD syndrome? I've got a fat 40GB that I bought not long after the machine was launched, and it's got it after one day of Gran Turismo 5.

Are the DIY fixes reliable? If not, what's the cheapest way of getting it done professionally?

I'm not abandonning you btw, it's just my internet problems have yet to be resolved, may take another couple of weeks.

It's ok, you can go for good, things have been buzzin since you've left.

My fat PS3 had YLOD, had it repaired for over a £100, then it happened again a few weeks down the line, so I just got a new one.

Point is, don't bother being a stinge, get a new one.

4od should be good. Recently watched all of Spaced. Might try a bit of Darkplace on my ps3. I don't think there is anything on itv that I would consider watching.

Just downloaded it. Will play in a little bit. PLayed the Dead Space 2 demo, pretty good. One bit in the demo scared the crap out of me. Downloading LBP 2 as I type. 6GB worth of demos this week. On my connection.... approx 120kb/sec if I'm lucky, that's a hell of a lot of downloading!

Mine was ok. Fluctuated between 333kb and 1mb a second and that was with my sister on the netbook as well. Surprised how good the download speeds are on consoles.

Forgot about LBP2, i'll give that a look later. Dead Space is a no for me.

Dead Space is a no? Why? Are you...... chicken??? *Makes retro 90's family friendly sitcom, a la Saved By The Bell esq style clucking noises, whilst bobbing head and flapping arms like a mad man*

Mass Effect 2 was good, but in my opinion (may be in the minority here), it doesn't deserve the lavish praise it has been getting. That being said, it is a story driven game, and it's hard to get into a story in a demo. Plus we get all the add-ons for free!

I wish I could get 1mb/sec.... 120k is the max for me :( Hopefully, that will all change when Infinity comes to my area, which it is due to.

Nah, not chicken. Liked the whole minimalistic interface design of the first, but the gameplay and combat didn't hook me. I traded it in after a couple of weeks.
