Playstation 3

The Messiah

#1 Troll
Eamonn Holmes in 3D.

I think it's going to be quality when you have depth perception in games. Sniping or get shot at will be awesome.

Does anyone have Playstation Move?

I'll be getting it very soon, and I was just wondering what the best games are, is it worth getting the gun attachment for the shooting games etc etc. Basically tell me anything that is worth knowing.

The prospect of Killzone 3 coming out is just too much for me at the moment. It looks like the best looking game ever made and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

So I bought Playstation Move earlier

It's brilliant. Much more fun than the Wii ever was, and i'm only playing the demo's on the starter disc!!!

The controller has a great feel to it man, and I love the colour changing orb thing on the top. Really makes you feel in control.

As for the Sony gun attachment I bought, well, absolutely brilliant. I can't wait to see how this will all work with actual shooting games.

I've got Move. Wasn't exactly a priority, but it came with my new Slim. That's right Jin, we can cam naked. Just need to figure a way to get my hard drive data transfered over from my broken model.

I tried out move today I wasn't too impressed. It just seems like the wii + eyetoy PS2 + improved graphics.

To be fair, my opinion is probably skewed. I hate motion control games, I hated the eyetoy and if it wasn't for games like Mario Galaxy, Zelda et al I'd probably hate the wii.

I think the real problem with move is that there just isnt enough there to convince a non-ps3 owner to buy a PS3. Sure people who already own one will be looking at £45-£100 investment to get them started (£100 for 2xmove, camera, 1xgame and 1xnavigation controller) but atnyone else is looking at a £300 investment just for the basics.

If someone just wants a game that anyone can play thanks to motion controls then the wii is still the first port of call for casual gamers imo thanks to it's low price and wide range of family games.

Well in my opinion it's much better than the Wii in everyway, apart from the range of games.

For me personally it was much easier just to have everything on one console, having two consoles was just too much, and with the range of accessories I had for the Wii, it's just so much easier to have the Move.

Also the Move is more sensitive, has DEPTH PERCEPTION (!!!!!!) and it jsut generally cooler looking, in my opinion of course.

I just think it's much better, and i'm well excited to try it out on some full games.

Jizzing at the prospect of playing Time Crisis in my house! And that boxing game The Fight looks amazing.

exactly my point. It was an easy purchase for you as you already have a ps3. If someone at this point hasnt got a ps3 or a wii, then they aren't 'gamers' per se. The wii at 140 quid in certain places will still seem like the better alternative than 300 for the ps3 and move. The whole buzz surrounding things like playing time crisis or the fight is exactly what was around when the wii came out. It just feels like the same gimmick all over again. I didnt fall for it first time, i dont think i will now either.

Anyway, I think sony should've gone a different route other than the 'me too' wii clone. Look at what microsoft has done with kinect. Yes it's motion control and obviously added on due to the wii's penentration but it feels like something new, even if it is a glorified eye toy/webcam and then some. If trumps the wii and ps3 for 'coolness' especially with voice, bone/limb and face recognition and minority report style menus and such. Still, i'm not gonna pay 300 for a 360 and it either.

anyway, i think comparing the wii to move and kinect is a moot point. its comparing new tech to 4/5 year old tech.

Glad you enjoy it though!! Let us know if any good titles are released for it that arent mini games, sport games and such!!

Sure some of you will already know by now, but there's a shedload more HD collections on the way after the success of God of War:

Also:
-Splinter Cell trilogy
-Rayman trilogy
-Tom Clancy trilogy (Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and, er...Splinter Cell)

I'm stoked; I'll be sticking them all on the rental list. Unlikely to buy any, but I want to play all.

I'll be picking up POP next Friday.

Ah, so you don't have all the answers then :shaq:

I hope it is, i've got £20 in my wallet (not in real life, theres much more :smug:) and I don't know what to spend it on other than the new BFBC2 maps that are coming out, and possibly BFBC:Vietnam.

Dragonfly

Waiting....
Is the picture quality any good? I rented Prince Of Persia (HD) from the PSN Store and it looked excellent.

I assume the value for money on LoveFilm will be much better.

Yep.

Also, i'd just like to declare my love for my playstation. It gives me hours of entertainment, more so than my girlfriend, and I just love it to bits.

That is all.
