Last time it happened was Christmas 2009, and I think the warranty is only a year, so I'll probably have to pay £130.

Sony are complete coons, not on the scale of microsoft but whats happened with yor ps3's is shocking. Didnt your first one die after 30 days?

My PS3's died again, for the third time. Worst thing is it's the total red flashing light thing, won't come on at all.

Same here, mine went the other day.

Now I have to sell all my games and the console just to afford a slim ps3.

How long ago did you buy your PS3? I'm pretty sure there is a limit on how long you can wait before buying an after purchase warranty (unless I'm thinking of something different). It's 30 days, if my memory serves me well.

I'm quite worried with my PS3. The fan's been louder than usual. Lately, I rarely use it for gaming though. I've been using it as a media HUB.

My PS3 has also been overheating and the fan has been going crazy, i'm not to worried though, its been 3 years and i haven't had any problems with it, yet. I'm blaming the heat.

Im not entirely sure but i think if its a 'quick fix' then it will be the exact same console returned if not they will return a different console.

I only make sure that the PS3 isn't placed too close to the walls. I think mine's placed about 15 cm from the walls.

I'm getting bored with the PS3 at the moment. There's no other games apart from FIFA 10 to play. This always happens to me around June-October.

Since I got my YLOD fixed I've found my PS3 to be a lot noisier. I was expecting quieter, but when I load a game the fan seems to go in overdrive.

Of course not. There's no games that interests me at the moment. I quite like the looks of Mafia 2, but I think that its release date is in Q3.

I borrowed FF13 from a friend, I didn't like it. I really got annoyed by the 3 characters - Snow, that little kid, and that girl with high pitch voice. Snow is probably the lamest. He said " Your hero is coming. " or something like that. :huh:

I've still yet to get my Red Dead. Just sent a message to play. I was going to take the refund option but it's 20 euros more in the shops over here. Other than FIFA10 I've hardly touched my PS3 this past month.

I like how they included a game that can be bought for a tenner and 90% of people already have it anyway. Give people a choice.

The system of only owning the PSN games as long as you are subscribed is bullshit tbh.
