I love Oblivion, but I do agree with that statement. You know if they are planning on Kotor 3 any time soon?

Yeah I believe so, apparently coming out this year. Although Lucasarts have said nowt.

Not really for me as the setting in KOTR is bollocks.

Star Wars...bollocks...what the. I was much more immersed in Kotor than Oblivion. The main quest in Oblivion was a pile of arse, ended up being 'Close 7 oblivion gates'. Very tedious.

I'm seriously considering buying Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion for the PS3, Game of The Year edition if possible. Gonna write it on a piece of paper, I think my mum's going down to the Asda tomorrow, and see if they have it, fingers crossed they do.

Anyone else have this game? Who has both Fallout 3 and Oblivion? If so, which do you prefer.

(Sorry for digging up an old thread?)

I have both (Oblivion is GOTY aswell).

I personally prefer Oblivion to fallout, but I think Fallout will last longer because of all the side quests and stuff.

I think they are pretty equal in playability, Fallout edges it graphics wise, but my personal preference is Oblivion.

I think its all the magic n stuffs

Cool mate, I've heard there's miles more to do on Oblivion, tons more quests and places to go, etc. I've also heard you can go in ANY building / break in, which is awesome.

I really want this game haha, I love Fallout, this is made by same game-maker so I have no doubts that Oblivion is a good game. :D

Hopefully I'll have it this time tomorrow. :w00t

Heh, with my 360 off to germany for repair I got Oblivion back off the shelf. I'd forgot I'd got pissed off with it. I'm stuck at the very end of the grey fox levels... The dozy queen lass sits the wrong way round on the chair so it won't play the cut scene & the game sticks. Fucking annoying as I'd done the main quest, the knights of the nine, the asassins, the mages and the fighters guild quests as well as being the madgod

Seriously fucking annoying...

 Yeah I heard there were a lot of bugs within the grey fox quests.

I never experienced any bugs though when I was playing through the game, only the stupid little ones like not being able to get in certain houses when you need to etc.

Just been out and got it from Game, Game of The Year Edition, £20. I also went on Youtube last night at some reviews, and they said that the PS3 version has faster loading times and less frame-rate issues, and the game looks smoother on the PS3 than it does on the 360. Not started it yet though so I can't really say much.

Anyone have the game on both PS3 and 360?

Not bad at all mate :D At the moment doing the "Breaking the Siege of Kvatch" quest, and I've got to find the Emperor's son and close the Oblivion gate too. He's pretty good at fighting. I'm liking the game a lot so far.

Just to kick you in the bollocks mate, Oblivion: Game Of The Year Edition is available on Zavvi's website for £8.95 with free delivery. Unfortunately the same price doesn't translate over to the Xbox 360 version.

If anyone is interested, here is the link to Oblivion dirt cheap:

Lovely, thanks for that mate, despite that brilliant value over at Zavvi, I'm pretty happy with £20 for this (believe it or not). This game has so much to do on it, quests, places, etc. Should last me ages.

As a concept there is nothing that comes close to Elder Scrolls, daggerfall was revolutionary for its time, Morrowind was impressive and when Oblivion was released it was destined to be a classic. I would go so far as to say that it is the best game ever created within its Genre(s).
