This is what I meant with the giving the ball back thing also there will never be a 'dive' button in a Fifa game for obvious reasons.

Dive button would ruin the game tbh. And automatic ball out of play? Are you serious? That would be disastrous...Have you not played any online games when a player is down you simply play the ball off the field just out of courtesy?
Career Mode would need to be fixed, as the 'overhaul' from last year wasn't really fantastic. Transfers need to be more realistic.. I bought David Luiz from Benfica for £8m for Blackburn..Pretty unrealistic tbh.
Pitches could do with being a tad bit bigger.
Freekicks need to be changed as it can be too easy to score when right on the edge of the 18 yard box.

I only kick the ball out of play against "strangers" half of the time, but whenever I have done it, they've never thrown the ball back, so I don't think they knew what I was getting at...
As for it happening automatically, I wouldn't like that - at all. Players go down far too regularly, and there isn't exactly a universal acceptance on the situation. In England, for example, play isn't stopped unless it's a head injury most of the time.
As noted, the dive button won't be brought in, simply because it's cheating, and FIFA aren't going to endorse it.
Would like bigger pitches though - it'd certainly compensate for the "OMG THE AI/ONLINE OPPONENTS ARE PUTTING TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON MY PLAYERS - UNREALISTIC!!" people.
I mean, I've never really had too much of a problem. If I get closed down in midfield, I just pass it to the next player in space, who incidently is now free because the guy marking him just closed down my other player - so if you're good enough at the game, the so called "closing down bug" isn't a bug at all.
Better trophies - I'm a bit of a trophy whore, so having better trophies to aim for would be nice. Simple "win the league", "win the cup", "have one of your players top the scoring charts in a season" type ones would suffice. Things like that have been in FIFA before, but the ones this season seem rushed, and a lot are too boring to even attempt. Still going for the "100 ranked games online" one, which'll end up being closer to 300, because the game needs to finish for it to count, so if anyone quits, you're buggered.
The defensive AI could do with a tweaking when you're behind - I know in real football, for a while, a goal can damage them, but at times when you concede one goal, your defence goes to pot and doesn't get close enough to the strikers - and even more frustratingly, leaves huge gaps at the back. At times, even when you try to plug the gap, it's like there's a force-field stopping you from taking your defender there.
I'll note more soon - but it's always a bit pointless. I like to see what's definitely confirmed for the next game, then get excited about it.
...oh, and since forever I've wanted a Be A Ref option. Not neccesarily a mode like BAP, but just the option to referee games offline/between friends online in unranked matches. It's something I'd have fun doing, but sadly, not enough other people would like it.
For those thinking, "it'd be a nightmare online, people would abuse it" - well, they could easily add a "reputation" option at the end of the match for the two people playing. Then, on the whole, you'd be able to see which refs are likely to screw you over/fuck around during a match.
And again, this would all be unranked, so there'd be no harm.

Most of mine is mainly online with Pro Ranked Match and Pro Clubs.
Fix Pro Ranked Match and Pro Clubs.
Pro Ranked Match:
Pro Ranked Match's problems consist of consistant connection problems while in the main menu selecting your team (usually it comes up saying 'your opponent has left the match' or that you have lost connection with the host or something but it happens with pretty much everyone that is in).
Once you get past that screen it is then time to choose a position but the odd time the counter will not be at the top and you always get one player that doesn't select/leave until he gets the position he wants and he can sit there for an eternity waiting which results in most (if not all) leaving for yet another series of attempts to get another game going.
Also I would like if you go to play Pro Ranked Match, it would automatically put you in the busiest game rather than 3 or 4 games that just include you or maybe 1 other person then the 5th attempt all of a sudden has a nearly full teams.
The ability to call a vote to kick the keeper because if the keeper also happens to be the captain then you cannot remove him, regardless if he is running about like a fanny.
Pro Clubs
Glitchers! Although the technique is handy when you have delay/lag to help stable it but it can also be exploited for crashing the game and the result to not be recorded. It is pissing everyone off. Backing out is annoying as it is but at least justice is usually done.
This one isn't so much as a complaint but I would like to be able to be assigned a shirt number when playing for your club. Just think it would be a cool idea.
Also, maybe the ability to design your custom kits or maybe even design a club logo and upload it through EA Sports. I've seen some teams club logos and they are pretty good. It would give teams more of an identity rather than just wearing Barcelona's kit.
I would also like the option to take someone on trial for a club by either selecting how many games he can play or how many days before a decision is made instead someone being recruited as normal. I was playing for a club and I came on one day and I was told that I passed the trials and that half the others guys were removed. I hadn't a clue I was still on trials. This isn't a biggie but just a nice feature.
Also maybe not being able to see how many players your opponent has at the beginning of the match since a lot of people back out if they think you are a good team or have a goalkeeper. Could even include a search function to search for teams without a goalkeeper. It is just annoying that when you are ready to play the other team suddenly have a second opinion about playing FIFA and back out. Maybe just showing the team name and if the team is ready.
I would also like the option to report teams (this goes back to the glitcher point) if they happen to be cheating.

Selecting traits I think was a good idea so you have to select the appropriate traits for whatever position you are playing. I think there should be a trait for "outside boot cross", "long/driven shots" etc.
Goalkeepers are too good. Of course playing Pro Ranked Match you will find some diddies but if you know the basic controls to playing as the goalkeeper then you can take the club from being average to great. The only ways to beat a decent/good goalkeeper are:
cutback
penalties
rebound from off the post or save
heading from corners. This is when you can tell the how great a goalkeeper is in my opinion if he can consistantly save headers
I have played in goals for quite a bit for a club and I took the club from being average (as well as me, they had an any and 2 strikers - that was it) to being good. The amount of saves I would pull off in one game is ridiculous. When a player is going one on one with me I know I'm going to save it because it is much easier than people think.
I say this all the time but more clubs.
Some clubs that probably should be in the game like Dynamo Kiev and Shakhtar Donetsk. The Romanian league has been coming up of late. I would also say add in a few more from less popular leagues to the "Rest of World" like Dinamo Zagreb. The Argentine League (Or at least more clubs like Independiente, Estudiantes, San Lorenzo, Newell's Old Boys etc) I would also add a few more top clubs from Africa.

I can't even play an online head 2 head these days without getting disconnected from the EA servers. Pay for the game and they have to spoil the servers by concentrating on the Ultimate Team - of course but that's how money is made which goes to EA *roll eyes*.

Tell me about it. If you are playing 11v11 in Pro Clubs then 9/10 you will finish with less than 11 players.

Last year it was the camera panning around the stadium and this year it is close ups of a player when you make a substitution. Why can't Fifa make it instant when you make a sub ? those 4-5 seconds get on my tits sometimes.
Whenever i have a corner, All my players pile into the box. Annoys me how 1 doesn't stay outside the box for a possible volley. Or is there tactics i don't know about you can tell where you want your players during a corner ?
In manager mode I'd like more injuries, more moaning from players not getting regular action and big clubs trying to take my best talent away with big bids.
Other than that Fifa 11 has been an excellent game and i hope for more of the same in the next one

This always annoys me. Also, if you're making a double or triple substitution, I'd like to see the correct number of players come on at the same time. I'd also like the option to pick a captain if I take him off.
You can create set pieces in the Arena. I think you press the Select button and then pick Create Set Pieces. I can work effectively....Original? will attest to that. :smug:
I was disappointed with the lack of injuries in Manager Mode, until last night, when I lost three startes in two weeks. I've noticed that the trait Injury Prone means nothing.
In regards to transfers, I don't like how you have to pay 10% to 30% more than a player's valuation, but the CPU won't bid more than about 5%. You can only accept or reject a bid, but you can't ask for more, which is what the CPU does. Being able to trade players would be good, too. Finally, the CPU should bid for your players, without them needing to be transfer listed, especially if the player is in good form.

In Manager Mode I think they should give you the opportunity to take a week to decide whether or not you'll sign the player. For example I could have signed D. Bent but I wanted to sign him after selling one of my other strikers. Since I couldn't sell him yet, I had to decline Bent. When I finally sold my striker and went to re-negotiate with Bent, they were having none of it.

I assume you mean after your bid has been rejected. You can put in a bid, retract it, and then make another bid any time during the same transfer window. If you've been denied a move for a player, then it's no surprise that you'll be told to try in another transfer window.

I rebuilt my team with new players (who nearly all wear green boots :erm
and most had the injury prone trait. Bit lazy really. In fact, the whole scouting for youth thing was really shit on 11. hoping they fix it for 12, or at least revert to 10's system.I only had 2 really serious injuries in 6 seasons. Lukaku & Hazard both injured in the same game and both out for 50odd days. Never had anyone else injure for more than a week...
