Waiting....

I had 2009 on the Xbox 360 and loved it. I was thinking of getting it on the PS3, which I got in exchange of the 360. I might as well wait for this to come out.

Hopefully a better career mode.

Ageing characters would be good in career mode. I remember making my first fighter 18, then I realised he stayed the same age over a 8 year career. Something like Fight Night 3 would be good.

I'm not huge on MMA, but when I watch most fights on TV and then play the game, I notice how "perfect" everything seems to be with transitions in the 2009 game and when struggling to move position on the ground, you're in the same old animations all the time.

I know they want the game to have a fun aspect, but 2009 was full of HUGE punches and kicks landing with no KO as a result, only for a half-arsed punch to end it later in the fight. I hope in that sense it's harder to hit the big shots so that it feels more real.

They could even have a system where you'd need to get a certain amount of attacks in before being able to use the really powerful punches/kicks, as opposed to 2009 where you're free to use them when you want. Opinion on that system would probably be split between people, but I guess if we're going towards realism, then this wouldn't be too bad of a step.

Waiting....
I'm really looking forward to this. I spent a lot of time on UFC 2009, particularly playing many career modes. Despite this, I still couldn't get into the Hall Of Fame. This is something I'm hoping to rectify second time round.

The career mode looks to be much more immersive. Along with Red Dead, I can see my summer being wasted on this.

I'm looking forward to dropping bombs on Brock Lesnar via Shane Carwin!

I may fire up Undisputed 2009 for one last run at a career mode before calling it a day and trading it in for a trail blazing £2.50 or thereabouts. I never did make it into the Hall of Fame or manage to go undefeated.

I've played mainly as Shogun against Rashad. I do well against him, and more often that not take it into the third round. It's usually an even exchange, and I'm maybe even eding it on the cards. But he always, and I mean always catchs me and turns out the lights before the final round is out.

This is on Expert difficulty.

The demo isn't too bad, some improvements from the last game such as the cage can be used to stop take downs as well as the ground game where its more realistic unlike the last game where it seems that you can stand up on your opponent so easily.

This game does look brilliant and I'm loving the demo so far.

Yeah just going by what I seen there I can already tell they fixed that Ghost striking bug in the replays. This release just seemed to fly around, it's being a fast year.
