Yeah I played it on 2, but I was wondering if it's any different in the 3rd one. They had a good formula for the multiplayer in 2 and I really enjoyed it, so I can't see them deviating too much from it to be honest.

I think competitive multiplayer is pretty much the same, with a few small additions. Coop is different though.

I got the game on Tuesday about 12:30pm and I played it straight through to 1.30am completing the game. Loved it.

The action scenes in it are immense as usual, even stepping up a notch from Among Thieves.

The only down side about the plot was (SPOILERS)

It felt too similar to Among Thieves. Searching for a lost city. Finding it in the end. Beat the bad guys and escape before the city crumbles. Other things like Drake and Elena are split up at the beginning of the 2 games and the endings are them reuniting.

That was the only downside about the plot for me but it was still an awesome game. Like the previous Uncharted games it is probably the most fun I have had playing through a single player game in a long time. Now it is a long wait for Uncharted 4 (assuming it continues the pattern that the game will be released 2 years from now) so I think I'm ready to give Drake's Deception another play.

I've only done the first 3 chapters so far. I try and restrict myself as I know there's going to be a point where I can't hold out any longer and end up flying through most of the game in one session.

Brits are always evil :(

I find this a little funny now. :D

Also, I don't know if it is just me but the first trailer you posted. The bit when Suly asks "what does it mean anyways" and it cuts to Drake holding a big book, I don't remember seeing that scene. I know the quote he is reading out is the narrated bit at the beginning but it cuts to them in a pub in London.

I finished Drake's Deception last night. What a game! Although, I do fully agree with Clyde's spoiler.

I was happy that we didn't have to beat a ridiculously hard boss like Lazerus though. Seriously, that pissed me off. The ending did feel like an anti climax though. Not sure because it was similar to Among Thieves, or if something was missing.

I'm on chapter 15 or 16 now (Sink or Swim). The past few have been rather difficult and I keep dying. :(

Especially that terminator guy with the LMG?!

I died quite at that bit. First thing I did is any grenades I had I would use them on him then keep switching to different covers while attacking.

Alright, just completed it.

I definitely agree with it feeling similar to Among Thieves. Lost city, English bad guy, split from Elena. I don't like that they never explain what the hell's going on in that relationship. And you only have 3 chapters with her, so there isn't even hints in their dialogue. The romantic in me just wants them to get married.

I'm disappointed with the length, I think it's probably the shortest of the three. Felt there was a lull in the story with the pirates (you could guess they didn't have Sully straight away), and nearly a quarter of the game was spent on this. Escaping the sinking boat was immense though. The length of this part would be OK if the game lasted a few more hours.

I totally thought Sully was going to die. Either with his hallucinated death or by Talbot when they're fighting on the crumbling rocks. As soon as Naughty Dog said the game would see a lot more of Sully and his relationship with Nate I thought they would kill him off at the end.

Those "ghost riders" are absolute bitches. And the spiders!

I guess my main gripe is just that the story is over now. I wanted another 20 chapters. :crymore:

I've heard a lot of good things about this game - and those preceding it. Is it worth me playing the first two before playing the third or would it be just as good to jump straight in on the third game? Also, is it a difficult game to progress in? N.B. I'm rubbish at being stealthy/shooting accurately/not being killed within 5 seconds.

Yeah, it's definitely worth playing through them all. The characters are great and it's best to start with 1 to experience their relationships.

I've completed the first two on the hardest difficulty so it should be straight forward for you considering there's even a very easy difficulty. There's one or two puzzles that you may think wtf? when you see them but it's really nothing too bad.

So am I phatmann, but I only played the first two weekends back and I loved it. Will only take about 6-8 hours to finish but it is a hell of a ride.

I'm gonna wait till after Zelda to play Uncharted 2 though, Modern Warfare 1 needs to be played between now and the 18th.

Up to about Chapter 14. The first 10-12 seemed like much of the same from the previous games (not exactly a bad thing), but it's really kicking on now.

Just finished it:

Did they ever explain what the hell was going on with Talbot? How he got shot then was fine moments later, and how he seemingly disappeared after drugging Charlie?

One thing I didn't like about the game is that there are too many chase sequences.

All in all, a great game.. thought not quite as good as U2 IMO.

Chapter 14 really pisses me off.

Just managed kill the two bastards with shotguns, and suddenly there's another one with the grenade launcher.

When you respawn, you have to go through the snipers and the dudes with the shotguns again.

Which bit is that again? There were quite a few pretty tough bits. I only played on normal, but I do intend to play the hardest difficulty at some point.

Cruisin' For A Bruisin'

It's the part after you fight the dude with the machine gun.
