Aparently this is the deal [i only have comfirmation in EUROPE, sorry folks]:

(will update content like version 1.20)
RELEASE DATE: UNCOMFIRMED (END OF FEBRUARY official statment, this week - download area news)
"New data will be released this week, it contains the player's movements during the winter transfer window.
You can update the game by selecting "Download" from System Settings."
PES 2009 Konami's Official Update 1.30
(will correct bugs like version 1.10)

i do not have any inside scoop from konami, nor do i know anyone there, i'm just one regular guy trying his best to inform the comunity with some acccuracy
any inaccuracy is not on purpose, and i apologise if any come up

Free January Transfer Window
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has confirmed the content of its latest free download for PES 2009 for PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD.
Due for download at the end of February, the update will bring all club sides’ rosters in line with all the moves and transfers made before the end of the January 2009 transfer window. Hundreds of players have been updated and corrected in line with their moves, with approximately 200 new players added to the game for the first time. The stats of thousands of players have also been refined, in line with their performances so far this season.
The download demonstrates Konami’s commitment to continually updating PES 2009, with further exciting downloadable content set for release in the coming month

1. Sometimes during Network play, the pass and go move didn't work.
2. When hitting long passes or shots from free kicks, players couldn't adjust the direction using L1 or R1.
Please be made aware that sometimes, during installation, the process may appear to have stalled with the window status shown as "not responding" for a few minutes.
However, we would like to ask you to wait for the installation to resume rather than to retry or abort as the installation is in progress even when the above symptoms occur.
We would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

lol Konami. I myself alone could have had an update ready with 200 added players, stats changed to reflect this season etc blah blah and had it done and ready within days of the window closing. The amount of time it takes them to do these things with fully paid staff is ridiculous.

maybe its not only the Janaury transfers and changes. I think its the patch himself to bring it to your PC and consoles online without any problems !! they surely got a lot of test's runnnig on many different systems.
Imagine a new patch which make your game unplayable or something ...
Hey dude the rapidshare link isnt working can u give mee your hotmail id?and also i am not able to download anything from rapidshare...and also i had download some other files when i did everything right and when the game is loading,it says data from another version something,sorry if there's any language error actually am in a bit of hurry...Please reply

Exactly dude i live in the UAE,its not the first time i've had this problem it reoccurs all tht time.It says that i'm downloading another file when i'm not.Secondly i installed sks patch and did everything right,but when i loaded the game it said error in loading data is from another version :S
Wow, I was just messing around on the PES menu, watching replays etc whilst eating lunch and playing on YouTube and clicked the download button on the system settings page and KONAMI have done it again! They've actually stuck to a deadline!!!!
That's interesting. Loads of new youth players added to each team as well as all new transfers and in new updated order as well, but all Muff's editing changes and all the one's that I've made are still there. So all face scans, badges, kits etc match to each team and player, apart from the new one's eg. Tosic.
Still some numbers wrong though so editing still to be done.

Hey Guys,
I'm new to this forum thingy and have downloaded this OF. Please don't have a go at me but how do I get it on my PS3. I have downloaded it, winrar'd it, it's on my memorystick and then I plug it into the PS3 and it comes up in video, photo and music only. I have uploaded the chants which work in game, but have no clue how to do the rest. Please don't eat me guys, I just need help.
