Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine

One of the games I've downloaded for free since subscribing to PS+ for a year, I've just played the first few chapters so far over the past couple of days or so to start with, and this is a decent game if you like intense, third person action-shooter games. It's great fun smashing Orks from left, right and centre.

At times you wish there were more melee combos and finishers available to use when 50 enemies come at you or once, which they do frequently. However, it's not lacking in the action/entertainment areas.

The thug zombies really fuck me off, they take like 30 hits of a decent weapon to go down, and apparently they start replacing standard zombies later on

Oh man. They're ridiculous. I've had to use molotovs on them to kill the ones I've come across so far.

I'm slightly annoyed as I did one of the side missions and the bloke gives you a revolver however you have to be level 10 to take it and I was only level 9 (200ish xp short of level 10). So it got put on the floor and I went back and it was gone :/. I'm hoping one of the traders in either the lighthouse or the life guard station have a revolver to sell me.

Mate of mine loves this, but I can't personally get away from the image of ginger nerds painting figurines around a table, tossing dice and discussing incomprehensible rules.

Gracing my gaming time at the mo...

Skyrim: Dawnguard. Finished both the routes through & really enjoyed.

Forza 4: Another interesting car pack has been released, drawing me back once more.

Nothing on the PS3 at the mo. Nothing really interesting about I guess.

Don't you find it boring?
I'm not even half way through it but the mundaneness of going to A to B on the horses got to me. The missions are pretty repetitive as well.

Recently Batman Arkham City £19.99 from PSN store and Uncharted 2 £14.99 also from the PSN store. Both completed in a rather short amount of time but I enjoyed the story both had.

Not at all. Usually when riding to places interesting little scenarios present themselves, if not just sit back and enjoy the scenery.

And in regards to the missions I rarely do them back to back as I enjoy doing the "stranger" mission, the ambient challenges and just generally hunting things.

I really enjoyed it early on and didn't think I could get bored of it before I completed the game.
Keep meaning to to get back into it but I just think about them boring horse rides when I'm close to turning my ps3 on.
It's bemusing the amount of people who think this is better the GTA IV.

Downloaded Deus Ex: Human Revolution as part of my PS+ subscription.

Had to start from the beginning as I deleted my save from last year but i'm playing it as an all out shooter now rather than the stealth orientation with occasional kills I did that time, and i'm surprisingly liking it more this way. Up to the asian city now.

im currently bored of all of my games... does anyone whant to recomend me a good game? (or games)

Hows about FIFA? Oh my bad for mentioning the enemy, that would be like Ronaldinho drinking Pepsi when he has a endorsement with Coca Cola

Batman Arkham City is worth a go, especially since the dark knight rises is just around the corner.

Picked up Arkham City on the back of watching Dark Knight Rises. Pretty good so far. I like the Catwoman segments that are inbetween the Batman parts.

Deus Ex, didn't realise there was a pacifist trophy so I've had a bit of mare. For the most part I'm only using my stun gun and non lethal take downs but it became necessary on occasions to use lethal force. I didn't realise I could defeat the bosses just by using the stun gun repeatedly, creating an EMP like effect.

On the whole I'm really enjoying it but I'm stuck on my return to Hengsha, I've got a shit load of augs for stealth but barely any nutrients to recharge all of my battery cells. I'm struggling to find a path past all the soldiers at the crash site. Dang its tough.

You're allowed to kill the bosses, Sminky. They don't count towards the trophy. Just use a couple of typhoons and they're dead.

I did but that damn female boss kept regenerating her health, plus it takes an age to become available again. I stunned her 7 times in quick succession with the Stun gun and then Typhooned her to kill her ... on my 7th attempt!

Just finished playing Deus Ex Human Revolution. It was enjoyable to a degree but did get a mite repetitive. I thought the actual story was superb but it was tainted by the bloody boss battles.

As the game went on I lost interest in playing stealth only, I just wanted to move the narrative on. I also felt the point of weapon stores, in particular selling goods, became less relevant as the game progressed. It just wasn't open world enough to make the most of it.

I've still got the DLC to play but I'm not entirely sure I'm going to bother for a while.

I wasn't fond of the ending (yes, I'm being "miserable" again):

Pretty much ignored everything you'd done in game, and was just a matter of pressing one out of 3 switches.... oh joy.
