Can anyone tell me if its worth waiting for the 120GB X-Box? I currently still have a PS2 but at the current price of a PS3 I'm not bothering with it; although I realise the 120GB will probably be of similar price, it does however have a larger hard drive which is what the attraction is in getting it.

Alternatively, does anyone know of any decent package deals for the X-Box as of this moment?

I can't say I have the Elite version, but my brother and I share the normal Xbox 360. It's been great for us, and online is where the party is at. I always chat to my friends over the headset on the 360, even if I'm not playing a game. My mate who I talk to most on the 360 lives on the other side of town so it's quite convenient being able to talk to him every day or so. We always have such a great laugh, pretty much every single time we go on the 360, banter is great.

Is it worth waiting for the elite version? I don't plan on getting a HD tv anytime soon anyway...

I personally find the normal 20GB version to be sufficient, I mean I have many game saves on it. Probably from about 8 different games, and I have multiple demos downloaded from the Marketplace, and movie trailers. Plus I still have around 9.7 GB left so the only way I'd fill that is if I went out tomorrow and bought about 7 new games and played them at the same time.

I don't really know why you would need a 120GB hard drive if I'm honest. The normal version is capable of HD, but as you say, you aren't looking to buy a HDTV anytime soon. I'll be hoping for one with birthday money or something, or maybe Christmas but I'll still be sticking with my normal Xbox 360.

You can get the premium console plus Call Of Duty 3 for £199 instore at Toys 'R' Us. Which is the cheapest offer around I believe.

Yeah, I've got the Premium, but not Call of Duty 3, since Call of Duty 2 is better.

The 360 prices do add up though, if you're wanting to play online anyway. With a Network Adaptor costing around £55 and a years Xbox Live online subscription being about £35.

I'm thinking of buying one too. I'm holding off until I know for definite the red-ring thing is over or they have put the heat-sink chip(?) in. Cos if the fucking thing brakes when GTA or PES is released, I don't think I could trust Microsoft again.

I'll probably buy from a shop rather than online though, at least then you can replace it quickly with no hassle.

Not the worst deal I've ever seen... Having thought about it though, I can't see why I'd need the 120GB, 60GB should suffice. I'll probably wait till after the summer and see if the prices drop.
