To be fair, PES has its fair share of overgrown tosspots, but much less than Fifa. In both games, you get grown men playing the game like children.

There's no reason why you can't get a decently rated random 16yr old in your youth team when your team is crap. Obviously, the chances of having a good one should be higher with your team rating. But having an 80 rated 16yr old Del Piero in your youth setup is a bit of a cheat.

At least in the good ol' days, you were easily able to tell who the unlicensed players were. Now, they're just a random collection of vowels and consenants. So Van Nistelrooy would probably by Vilbiburbim or some shit like that! Bring back Ravoldi!

They have a good system in Fifa, where (I think) you are able to scout young players from around the world, like proper youth players, not regenerated behemouths with 95 overall. I mean, how hard is it to programme a number of random names? Football Manager has done it for over a decade!

The scripting is part and parcel of PES. I can't see it being any other way. Those who deny that there is scripting aren't looking hard enough. You can often tell that there's gonna be a goal even before your opposition has gotten anywhere near your box. Even in multiplayer.
