your not ,i can make up my own mind ,i was very impressed with fifa on the whole its a much improved product ,in many ways a lot better than pes ,like you said earlier its an acheivement by EA of getting pro fans to even think about buying fifa ,and having played it for the first time in years ,i will certainly read both reviews of the up coming titles before decieding which one to buy ,for me it is genuinely that close ,i guess the best way i could sum it up is

pes09 feels dissapointing ,but fifa09 still needs to improve

i hope that clears up any missunderstanding of how i view both titles

thats what fifa players would say to me about pes..lol

the thing is actual hardcore pes players are buying fifa and looking more forward to fifa2010 than pes2010, considering that pes players would NEVER of done that for any other fifa game tells me that EA have done somthing monumental..!!!

Don't get me wrong, I'll probably buy FIFA 2010 come next year. I'm thinking about skipping PES 2010, maybe wait for 2011 or something.

I still have hopes for PES 2010, but I'm being very ignorant to expect significant evolution from Konami come next year.

Which is why I think it's wise to expect progress from FIFA, but not from PES. FIFA has been progressing for the past couple of years, FIFA09 is an encouraging title. Whereas PES has neither progressed nor shown any encouraging hints.

I'm simply saying what I think of FIFA09, it's good but it's overrated. Maybe FIFA 2010 will actually justify such hype.

the missunderstanding came from saying that fifa has no depth..the more you play the deeper you go..!

if you play a certain style, fully assisted and at a low level then yes it can lack depth..

i thought i explained all that ,obviously missed once again try specsavers why go in depth when you can win easily by doing simple things ,maybe you just dont understand that line ,if i can pass through a team by using quick short passes without any thought then surely the game lacks depth does it not?

and no it was not fully assisted just the shooting and yes i do realise by using manual i add to the game but the basic package is still the same

very sorry you have misinterpreted the point i am trying to make

ok i`ll explain

when playing pes i like to pass ,my passing rate is around 85% ,naturally when i played fifa i played the same ,now to pass through pes i find i need to pass to work an angle to release players for their on game runs and sometimes the ball is played just behind the player running, but when playing fifa ,i could break up the opposistion and put together six passes with quite easily ,and all were to feet no miscontrols nothing, even with newcastle ,now i could go on and say i played the whole afternoon like this with every pass being perfect and every player was in posistion to receive it but i would only bore you but for me thats where the game lacked depth and yes i did play it on noob shooting but getting their wasnt a problem

now dont get me wrong fifa is an excellent game the same reason i just stated is its appeal any noob can pick it up and play good stuff ,it does play very well ,its very fluent and i do agree with so many points raised in the latter posts too ,fifa has taken some elements of what made pes good and incoporated them to their own brand almost like PES6 and for that reason makes fifa more fun to play ,both are easy to learn ,hard to master ,PES is more rewarding but fifa brings a smile to your face quicker

both games are fantastic ,but both have their let downs and thats before someone mentions online they are both simulating football but both uniquely different ,it is a matter of prefference

but as to which one is better if i was playing a noob id play fifa ,if i was playing a pro i would quite obviously play pro

Any "PRO" would be playing Fifa if they had a brain. The annimation of Fifa alone makes it better than pes altogether imo. Dont say Fifa is a noob game plz. I would now honestly say its harder to be good at fifa than it is pes. My "noob" friend was pompey and he lost 3-0 to southampton in an exiting game so you cant say that any noob can pick it up and play.

There's so much to learn about how to play fifa. Whats to learn in pes? All you do is weave around, run run run, cut inside alot and score boring goals into a shit net and past a shit goalkeeper watching shit annimations as you get there in shitty 8 way movement.

Pes 2008-09 are the ultimate in NOOB games. Fifa is a game that requires a footballing brain, quick reactions and a love for your club. Thts another thing. In Fifa you can actually be a team thats not a "big gun" and actually take something away from a match. Im talking about online obviosly. In pes even the likes of liverpool are absolute trash whereas in fifa their a 5* team and one of the best teams on the game. Also playing the Liverpool 4-5-1 is the best way to play with them online just like in real life and the same goes for other teams.

Basically Pes is for noobs imo and fifa is now for skilled players. Fifa isnt the be all and end all but its actually hard to think of anything in pes apart from ML thats better than anything in Fifa.

well you would say that ,your clearly dim witted and another noob who obviously cant digest the shit that hes reading ,as i clearly stated in the text that you have quoted ,I LIKE TO PASS jesus f****g christ learn to read and if you think fifa takes a football brain then clearly you genuinely lack one you should stick to fifa as i dont think you have the marbles to log in

Sorry for missing your point (whatever that was) but im not the only one who was struggling to understand wtf you were actually trying to say. One thing is for sure im not a noob for liking fifa and if im a noob then i guess all the 100s hardcore reviewers out there that agree with me are wrong too. "I like to Pass!" , i never said you didnt? Also i do have a football brain and with that came to the speedy conclusion that fifa has great gameplay and pes is as fun as being buried alive.

quote me if i`m wrong but didnt i say fifa was more fun as a game ,once again quote me if i`m wrong but i said if i was playing a noob id play fifa meaning that fifa is the easier of the two to pick up and play ,i`m so sorry you couldnt figure that one out ,but since i am in kind mood the point your missing is that i stated in my oppinion is that fifa lacks depth as a game and not as good as PES09

but thats just my oppinion :)

I think FIFA09 is incredibly overrated. It's sad that so many people think so much of a good game, nothing else and nothing more. It is good but it isn't great.

Though admittedly, I've barely even played FIFA09.

How can you make that judgement on a game you barley played?

It needs real time, cos its a sim, not a pick up and play.

Personally for me, its a watershed moment in football games, the last i felt that way about a football game was ISS pro evolution soccer on PSX.

And LMAO at Dicky_T reckoning he mastered FIFA immediatlely, you joker, probably when you have everything set to assisted and played on Semi Pro or summin.

Cracks me up, Yeah, FIFA has more player animations, game modes, Teams, Players, Scouting, Deeper Manager mode, far better player movement and far superior AI.......

But it wasnt deep enough so you had to go back to a game with Horrible movement, Same old rancid career mode since PS2, handful of teams and modes and the same old player animations seen on PS2.

PES is such a one footed game, anytime it comes to shooting with the wrong foot and outside of the foot, the animations are horrible. Any time you go in on goal and the ball isnt set up for a sidefoot into the corner, the game makes you do this shit outside of foot stab, rather than allowing to go with the other foot, or curl the ball properly with the outside of foot.

Then Again, Ive barley played a game so the logical thing to do is to say its not that good.

Dicky_T is the man though, apparently the game was so easy he had to go back to 8 directional-one footed pes 2009.

Looking forward to him telling me how his settings were on assisted and he forgot to take the difficulty off semi pro.

actually my m8 has just been round and the game wasnt assisted so fifa has just gone well down in my estimation

and ive just played it again and yes the game does lack depth it is riddiculously easily and every pass is perfect ,no miscontrols

but it still put a smile on my face ,but as for shelf life ,5 mins

as an example of how easy it was i played 5 games on top level ,i conceeded 1 scored 23 sorry but this game is just for kids
