So what are peoples thoughts then after having a few days to digest what the game is offering? I'm intrigued to play on it, and I've heard mixed reviews even from the fans over on the EA boards proclaiming FIFA 09 to be the better more realistic football sim. Of course I'm not sure as I don't have the game at the moment, so your thoughts would be nice.

I like it. To me it feels more fluid and varied than FIFA 09 but maybe that's because I've turned into an analogue stick user. The Manager Mode improvements are welcome and I'm yet to come across the issues others have found but that's because I've sold half the Milan squad which included pretty much all of the players with less than a year on their deals.

I really like the game, I'm just upset that using Juventus' tactics and formation as Milan is not reproducing the movement Juventus showed in the demo. I'll need to play as Juve to see if its just the lesser, slower Milan players making the thing a bit more stagnant or something was changed in the Custom Tactics bit which we couldn't access in the demo.

Dida, Favalli, Kaladze, Oddo, Ambrosini, Inzaghi and Borriello all sold. Albertazzi and Zigoni loaned out. Welcome Rafinha, Criscito, Palombo and Paloschi :smug:

Its very much like PES in certain ways, the passing on semi assisted is alot less accurate, which is both good and annoying. I feel there is more player individuality this year, the most annoying thing so far is the scripting and cheating the computer uses to score goals, ive won my last 5 in a row in MM on world class, but i should have had a clean sheet in pretty much all those games, the CPU 100% cheats and it will annoy you once you get into the game. The strength system im still undecided on how good that is, sometimes its amazing, other times annoying. Im glad they have put an end to the over the top ball leading to an easy goal, ive only scored 1 goal like that on this game and i had to work hard for it.

The shooting im undecided on too, in many ways I still like the 09 shooting, they need to work on that and the finesse shots periods, especially when your someone like Messi, you can be lethal, i can sense an exploit online.

I still need time before giving a proper assessment, this game reminds me of pes 6 in alot of ways, which i hated at 1st but ended up playing for over 2years it was that good.

When its against you, its fucking irritating, but when its with you it can be fantastic.

In my opinion everything about the gameplay is better than FIFA 09 and the last three PES outings, it seems instinctive and the 360 play is just the best thing since boobs.

The bugs don't seem as bad as many on the FIFA boards were trying to insinuate as end of the world sort of things.

It's great, but some really fundemental glitches can ruin the moment for you at times.

Agree with Don (and as I've said in this thread already), the d-pad feels so restrictive after using the stick. I also haven't come across the management bugs, probably as I started my mm as Bury!!! I like a challenge :smug:

So far, so loving it. It's far superior to any prior next gen footy, probably down to the 360 degree dribbling. It really does make all the difference.

On the cost side, picked it up from Game near where I work for the princely sum of fuck all ;) Thanks to eventually trading some of my old/completed games, they actually gave me FIFA + £19 which will go handily towards Forza 3 on the 23rd...

Worst one I've heard was Gray accusing my Bury side of being on a poor run of form, despite the fact I had won the last 4 games, including a 1-1 thriller against West Ham (5-4 on pens) in an early round of the FA cup.

New thing i just noticed, when you make a sub, the staduim announcer announces the name of the person coming on. Credit to EA for sorting out the CPU subs as well, if they are behind they will bring on strikers.

apart from the hint of gayness between both commentators the only real thing I've noticed is that sometimes when I shoot it says it came off the post, when it was miles wide.

Lol, without wanting to jinx this, im not noticing these things you know,..............yet, part of me is hoping most of these bugs are on the ps3 version lol.
