Ok, I know football games (and sport games in general) have scripting to make the game more challenging, but this just takes the piss.

Defenders just kicking the ball back to opposition, when there is a easy pass to make, goalkeepers not jumping for the ball and allowing short players like Evra to score headers - It's too much.

Oh and I'm definitely taking off handballs in the penalty area. That shit is annoying.

I started career mode as a manager. I don't know about you, but I really like being a manager and selecting and buying players. For me, it's far more enjoyable.
Anyway I have a question.
What is budget allocation?
And how do you earn more income so that you can buy players?
Because I had 2 home games and in 1 of them it gave me money (I BELIEVE IT WAS FROM TICKETS, RIGHT? OR? ) and in the other it didn't.

Budget allocation let's you choose how much goes to either transfer budget or the wage budget.

Handballs are turned off by default.

In the career mode me and my nephew were playing, it was enjoyable, but STILL there's always ridiculous AI results, leading to unrealistic tables.

I hope it doesn't last long, but Chelsea won 1 out of their first 5 - losing 2, drawing 2 and beating us - so yeah.

Arsenal were in a similar position, but won 2 of their games.

I'd like to do a diary based on a Real Madrid game, but I'd like Barcelona to actually challenge for the title in it. >_>

If it's anything like Fifa 10 (lol) then you get more money playing at home than away, because its your fans that are taking up the majority of the stadium. Going to an away game would generate you less income than a home game, get it?

Does anyone here play xbox live? I'm sick of playing these guys who play ping pong football (1-2's) all the way up the [pitch then use RB with every shot. It's not football. If anyone fancies playing a proper game of football then gimme a shout.

Yeah, I knew how it worked in fifa 10 but I am finding this new mode a bit strange because there isn't much help.
But overall it's an improvement especially in they way you get players even if it's a direct copy of pes'. But I don't care about who copied who. :)

Thanks :)

Is it just me or do the Old Trafford crowd constantly sing "Ar-gen-tina, Ar-gen-tina!" a lot? Considering there's no Argentinian players in the squad now, it doesn't make much sense for them to be singing it.

God, EA don't half know how to release a game chock full of bugs. So far today i've had to reset the game 3 times, once when the trophy loading didn't start, once when my career mode calendar froze after 2 games and then again in career when the game stuck on "warming up".

I experienced a bug from the moment I switched on the game for the very first time. I pressed start in the arena and nothing would happen. I had to re-start the game. It's been getting better, but it's still pretty messy. May we need to just stretch it out.

I've had the game freeze once, right after I'd just beaten Bolton 2-0. Reloaded it, beat them 4-0. Yay.

Yeah, thank god for patches and updates =] If these things keep up at least EA will probably fix it!

I'm hearing good stuff coming from review outlets about PES this year. Anyone getting both?

I am getting both games. I already have Fifa and will get PES too.

I've never had any problems during matches.

I've already pre-ordered PES. I like the demo, and I'm hoping the final build is even better.

I've had the game crash in the team selection screen for Ranked Matches once, but Clubs is where I'm having most problems; headset communications are fucked and every game is lag-tastic.

EA, sort it out. K bye.

Had one glitch there today playing against a mate. When the match kicked off his players were already walking into my half, before I even touched the ball. I then played a pass back and it was offside somehow. When he was taking the freekick due to this, both teams had been switched around. Very odd. Haven't had a crash as of yet though.

The handball feature is a joke as it is.

Good idea from EA, but they seriously need to sort it or just remove it. Especially if you have it enabled for penalties!

- mostly every shot you hit that is blocked by a defender, you will be awarded a freekick for handball
- if you are blatantly fouled then fall, for some reason the opposition get the foul for handball (even though you were originally fouled :S)

I don't know how many times I've been 1on1 playing against my brother and hes brought me down outside/inside the box - so I assume I'll get the freekick/penalty & he'll get a redcard...but no, he gets a freekick for handball

Terrible

you claim to be a manchester united fan yet you do not know the story behind this LOOOOL, do you even know who brain robson is LOOOL

Manutd fans sing that becasue back in world cup 98 when beckham got sent off the whole country turned on beckham who was a manutd player at the time (if you did not know) and from then on most of the OT crowd have been anti the England team, hence they sing that
