Not really. Just a pain waiting for the right cars for the right races. For example, I just need the historic race series to complete Expert in A-Spec, but I currently have nothing in my garage good enough & refuse to pay 20M credits to buy one from the 'new' dealers.

Just go to the museum ya tool!

I can't see the PNG. Put it in words. Good practise for Scrabble. When you'll lose. Mwahahaha hahaha (much evil laughter)

I thought I'd put that in the emoticon list ages ago but it seems I haven't so in it goes.

Is GT5 actually any good? I'm hearing a lot of bad things about it in this thread yet everyone on my PSN list seems to be playing it while I sit on my own - or with Pategato - on Need For Speed. :(

Good man. That emoticon is a must.

As for GT5, I'd say that unless you are a petrol sniffing car nut, then you'll get little from it. It's a grind of a game that only really rewards sad junkies like me who gasp with delight at comparatively shit 80's Japanese cars.

The licences/challenges are being absolute bitches. Start at the back of the grid and aim for first, racing against drunk AI using a car that has ice for grip. And if they suddenly cut across to try and block me and I bump them, I get disqualified. Not impressed.

Fick, I've added you on psn.

You can lend it to me next week. Turns out that I haven't downloaded the latest patch, which I can't be bothered to do at the moment.

I've not bothered after the a license. Anyone able to confirm if I'll need to pass the international licenses for any reason?

I'll do it today so I don't forget! Not in need of it for a bit.

Got a beast of a car atm. Aston Martin DB9 with 622bhp, been put through all of the weight reduction stages (including windows and bonnet) and can do over 210mph but still handles amazingly well.

GT5 seems more for realism then NFS. But I reckon NFS is better, especially for the autolog feature if you have a few friends playing it at the same time it brings some good competition when you see your times have been beaten

Final say on GT5, then I will likely no longer bother with this thread.

I've got rid of it. Trying to grind through the championships, soooo many cars without interior views & last gen rendering, loooong load time (even with full install), even longer updates to fix non-essential bollocks, dumb AI (despite being patched to allegedly improve it), floaty cars that don't seem to touch the tarmac... and too many other niggles to be arsed listing, have seen GT5 removed from my collection.

The reason for this post? Simple. Get an Xbox360, buy Forza 3, revel in every car having a full interior view, better graphics, the handy rewind feature (a godsend on those long races when you are tiring after 30+ laps), the better weight and feel of the cars, the better damage modelling, both aesthetically & performance based, the better modding/graphic options for the cars, the ability to swap engines with other models by the same manufacturer... the list goes on.

As a grade A petrol-head with many years experience of driving, from a reverse-steering Fiat 126 to an 18ton gun carrier and pretty much everything in between, I can honestly say that Forza 3 pisses all over GT5.

It's not a preference. It's a fact.

Frankly, Polyphony & Sony should be embarrassed to make us all wait for something so incomplete.

I've not bothered to play since returning your car, fick. I'm not selling it though. I'm trying to build up my PS3 games collection, regardless how shit the game may be.

Each to their own. It's trade in value nearly covered Killzone 3, so it's no loss for me.
