is this for pc cause that don't look like pc graphics
It is only for PC. The graphics of powerful PCs look as good as those of any console out there. As far as i know, all games are made with computers anyway.

Original?

I think he means they don't look good enough for new high end PCs, however the trouble with games like this is the number of units on screen at once means that each unit cannot be as detailed. For example a first person shooter may have up to around ten people on screen at once and even then you may get lag, however these types of games can have hundreds of units of screen each with their own animation. This is far harder to both create and run.

Very true. The intro in the site was compressed as well, which takes a lot from how detailed the armour and faces of the units really must be. The detail of each unit in Rome:Total War was amazing, so i expect this game to be mind blowing in the graphics department alone.

EDIT: I just watched it again and the graphics really do look amazing. I can't wait to play this game.

Good gracious my computer can never take this. I mean, it had some small problems with Rome already.

Medieval TW was always better than Rome TW. I hope they sort the AI out, shame they were taken over by Sega and it's likely to be a 'comic book' history rather than a realistic one (head hurlers? I think not).

I don't think these games are ever released on any format other than PC.

Hell of a lot harder on console, I remember a game called Kessen, very difficult to play without the freedom of a mouse.

Kessen was great but not quite in the same league as these games

what about age of empires
AOE is a real time strategy game. These Total War games are turn based.

The AOE series don't even come close to being on the same league as Total War anyway. Total War is easily, imo, the best war game strategy game ever created.

Good thread, not suprised BarnDoor made another one though, it was a page back but never mind.

Has anyone got a more up to date army (fraction) list; I know there are Byzantines in it but are the Aztecs a playable army?

Nope.

It's ok that he made another one. This game deserves a couple. :)

:crymore: I just want to know what armies are in the game because i may get this and me and my colleagues may use it for the work league, we need a new game you see and the last one was Battlefield but most of us are bored of that, can you play this online?

Of course you can. I'm not sure what armies are in it. I was surprised to see that there will be an Americas conquest campaign. Check their site.

There should be more of course, the welsh princedoms, the Irish, the Lords of the Isles, the Almoravids, the Kievans, the aragonese, Teutonic Knights, Christain kingdoms of Nubia and many more but adding more than 21 factions might be hardcoded. I will be modding this when it comes out if its mod friendy that is

That had better not be the final list.

I can't believe they did not include feudal Japan.

They are different places but are they all going to look different and have different units? It's good to see Papal States on there ;)
