I wanted to return this game in order to get Dark souls or Skyrim but they would only give me 20$ for it.... A loss of 45$

There are loads of other things what suck about this game.
The biggest issue is the balance in the game. For the rest Konami changed a lot of thing what was good in 2011. And more.. They changed some base principles of the old Pes and thats why it is not Pes anymore.. You cant defend properly...
Online masterleague is one big goal festival and lucky lottery... There is defenately not the Pes skill since everything is automaticly.. even if you choose to have it not automatic your opponent will... Ping pong all over the place..

Just out of curiosity, is there actually a computer (console, PC or whatever) football game that has anything to do with football, realistically speaking?
And for the good old days, no one is forcing you to stop playing PES6, although that game suffer from headaches of its own.
PES 6 was good i dont think so. I remember most of the first games had several exploits. Cutbacks and running around penalty for ages.
Finally we have a very good game and people just moan. Now the AI is too good. Well i prefer it to be too good than to suck.
People are asking for a time machine. We dont even know if its possible. Columbus didnt fly to the moon. Just be realistic kids.

Different strokes for different folks lad. Doesn't make it more or less relevant or even right. Only negative thing I can say about PES2012 is that Konami haven't released it in the UK yet!
I think people just need to give the game a bit more time to learn how to play. I played around 100 games, I'm certainly playing with lots variety, building up some pretty awesome goals. Playing online my defensive record is pretty decent at 0.7 goals/game. So I cannot agree with people who say that you can't defend in this game.
People need to remember that playing online you are always gonna be paired up with some lame ass mother bitches who just exploits the game to win. Perhaps this is why alot of us think that the ps2 pes were better, cause we Only played our friends who actually does let go of the r1 button and didn't spam through balls

PES12 is a quite good start, but it's clearly unfinished (or made by retards). But I like it... you may call me a sadomasochist, really, because the stupidity level of some of the obvious errors in this game really drive me nuts. But despite that, I am quite happy with it.

For real evolution nothing will ever come close to pes3 following from the not so great *run the whole pitch with Backham*PES 2.
People with there tongues up pes 6's arse need to take a trip down memory lane and actually play it again.But most people are very sheepish and will join the masses at hailing pes 6 as the peak of pes, because the next man says so.

I'm with Mak on this one. PES5 was the shit, if you consider some factors. When it came, it was supreme but PES12 is clearly a better game. But PES12 isn't a good game considering what really we should expect in 2011, in my opinion. Neither is FIFA btw.
But the norm today is to release crap because the masses buy them, so in that light PES12 isn't so bad after all.

I´v heard this one before. So what do you expect in the year of 2011 in terms of video games? And I need details.
After watching Space Odyssey 2001 just two years ago I was expecting we had already colonized Mars! But we haven´t! It´s shit! I really want to go there but I keep my feet on the ground. We still haven´t developed all kinds of shit we dreamed of in the past.
The truth is that computer games haven´t been progressing for at least 5 years. To me the gaming industry is stagnated and out of ideas. Every game out there is made out of minimal cash for maximum income, but it works., that´s the funny part,
I wasn´t expecting very much from Fifa or Pes this year as both games are made like I mentioned above.
Nevertheless I like Pes2012, with 2 or 3 patches it´s possible the best Pes in the series.

It's quite simple, after releasing more or less the same game for so many years you could expect the AI to be more refined, instead of being full of "now it's time to score scripts". An AI refined to position themselves better in defense, and do the obvious "must do" runs offensively. The AI should be forced to do their best with the players actual skills and abilities, and not because of a script saying when it's time to score. And if they aren't able to write such an AI, then hire someone who can. Jenkey1002 is probably available for the right amount of money.
In ML, for example, Tevez gets muscled off the ball by players with 65ish balance. That's clearly a script, because if a human player was controlling the weak player, Tevez would hold on to the ball like it was glued to him. That's what I mean by AI having to cope with the players available, and not get by purely on scripts.
I would also expect that they had removed some of those stupid looking hairs that no one ever uses, and those hairs that don't look like hair at all.
We're not discussing rocket science here, it's a game AI. Those have been made better than the one PES has many times before. Maybe not in a football (soccer) game, but some American Football games have some well written AI's, and they are quite similar to what PES needs.
Doesn't matter, PES is a franchise where they have an excellent opportunity to vastly improve last years errors. Maybe that's what they're trying to do, but it doesn't always feel like it.
So do I, if you avoid playing against the computer the game is quite nice. Against the computer, this game holds my interest for 1-2 matches before I need a break. But I can't say I have any better alternatives either, so I like PES. I would just like to see it done better, and my personal opinion is that it wouldn't be very hard for Konami to do a better job.
I am not trying to flame PES, I like PES. I just want to put the spotlight on improving the game. I also rate gameplay over graphics, so the license issues doesn't really bother me.
And what I meant with PES5 being the shit; PES5 was a better game in 2005 than PES12 is in 2011. But PES12 is by far better than PES5. If PES12 had been as good in comparison to time of release, we would have a true beauty on our hands, yet we have a decent game with loads of potential and a hunkload of gripes.
