Yep. The new one is slightly heavier too. Have to say I prefer it, but that may just be because the sticks are still positive. The sticks on my old pads are a bit loose now & one is slightly forward which can be a pain when playing sometimes.

There are still two types of PS3 controllers on sale, Dual Shock & Dual Shock Six axis. I believe the 2nd is heavier due to the rumble pak.

I bought a new controller a while ago off Amazon, well, one of their sellers. Was not impressed. Looked like a cheap French-Canadian knock off! It felt "harder" than my last controller. The analogue sticks were stiff, and the edges of the buttons were less smooth. Doesn't look like it was stuck together properly, and yesterday I think I broke the rumble by lifting it at a fast pace.

I know your pain. I bought a red one off ebay, and it's just as you described. Instead of just feeling the rumble, you can hear it out loud - it's really annoying. And aside from the sticks being stiff, they're dodgy too. I noticed when driving in a car game - I didn't even have my thumb on the left analog stick, yet the car was veering off to the right. :/

Went to play my ps3 yesterday and as soon as I load up a game there is no sound. I get the clicky sound on the menu and if I watch films on my ps3 I still get the sound but nothing during gameplay.

Anyone heard of others having this problem?

Only new things I noticed is iPlayer, ITV & Channel 4 player have been bundled together, and on the Store you can 'recommend' things to your friends where it automatically drops them a message and link to said product.

I'm too busy playing games sent from Lovefilm - God of War III at the moment - and when I'm not doing that I'll be cracking on with Mass Effect 2 , Fallout 3 & Red Dead (I've still not played them).

Greetings chaps, thought I'd post this here despite it being a hardware issue, it seemed more relevant in this section. My mate has an issue with his PS3, his Sony Bravia no longer displays his PS3 signal, I tried mine and it works fine. His PS3 works perfectly ok on his Samsung 18 inch 1080i television. Any suggestions? We've checked every setting and done everything bar resetting it to factory default. It maketh no sense :no:

if you hold the power button while starting the ps3 till it bleep you should be able to see a selection screen of different display options. I'd suggest trying different ones till it works.

Yep, first thing he tried. It didn't work. Its not the cables that are the issue, they work on the PS3 on the small television.

I had this problem just two weeks ago when I visited my parents and plugged in there. You need to reset to default settings. Hold power button until you hear 3 beeps.

You will have problems by doing this obviously with trophies and games linking with their user until you restore everything.

The problem for me was I had the setting for 1080 but moved to a 720 TV. I should have changed the settings before plugging into another tv. Tried new cables and everything.We were without PS3 for 3 days until we reset the defaults. I would also suggest shutting off the internet capability when moving to non-connection.
