He hasnt quite clocked onto the fact that we havent pretend fifa doesnt have flaws.

we just react when people who know nothing about the game make stupid statments all the time.

To make a comparision between the two new or old games, you actually need to know about the games.

I'll be playing the demo and im sure i will think its a good game, if that was the only game available i would probably not be heart broken, however fifa has opened my eyes to new way of playing football games and if they've continued to go along this route im sure it will come out top in my opinion...

Its good that there are 2 different types of game as its obvious people prefer different things from comptuer football...

I like the fact that pes has online tournaments that could be enough for me to buy it, so that when i feel a little nostalgic i can get online and whooop some ass...

See you when the demo is out.....

Fifa has lots of flaws/dislikes we all know that, just not as many as pes imo...

shit if we all wanted to we could list 1000's of flaws compared to a real game of football for both pes and fifa seeing as they're just computer games....

Its just pes doesnt seem to be bothered about "trying" to fix them, it's still perposefully defying too many laws of real life physics for me....

dont compare a game of football to a computer game! if i was developing a football game i certainly wouldnt strive for utter realism as frankly football can often suck. the amount of times i have watched a 90 minute game for 10 minutes of excitement is ridiculous. the champions league game yesterday was a belter but that doesnt always happen, so often i see boring football matches. who wants to be entertained on a computer game by slowing moving the ball around, passing between the back four for god knows how long before hitting a hapless long ball to giveaway possession!

anyways i am sure both games will have their qualities, i enjoyed both games this year for the first time ever which is a testament to how well FIFA has progressed however PES still wipes the floor with it in several aspects, mainly multiplayer with friends (obviously not online!) and shooting. for all the good moves you can put together on FIFA the moment is spoiled by the actual goal which either comes too easily or is the same finish as every other goal.

oh, and at least xabi alonso hasnt been tangoed this time around!why was he orange in the previous games!

Everybodys over reacting over a 4 week old demo at gamescom that shows the improved graphics and passing but is missing most of the newer animations and new running animations plus has a few warping bugs and the occcassional sticky player before a through ball or pass is recieved.

Look at the improved movements of your teamates off the ball that half the time the people in the videos fail to see so dont release a effective through ball or pass instead choosing to run will the ball until they loose possesssion.

This is a beta demo where as fifa10 is at the gold stage ready for review and print.

Theres so much konami are keeping back for good reason and i think people are going to be very shocked come the demo and the october release.

Come on people even someone with a un-trained eye can see the bugs so im sure even konami have adddressed this by now back at there hq.

There so much more to come just be patient

pes2010 will be at a much more advanced stage then this by now dont be sucked in by a very early build of the game that is at least 4 weeks old or even older.Konami are deliberatly playing it down and showing very little for good reason, you will all see.........

I aint on a misson to convert anyone,

I just tell it how is it is, if someone says something i disagree with, ill come back to em.

Thats why this is a forum.

The problem arises when you continuously comeback, again, and again, most of the time with the same stuff, and it becomes so mundane that it winds people up.

I don't see what's wrong with being optimistic, if I was pessimistic all the time then I'd be a tiring person to be around. It's not that your opinion annoys people because there are plenty of FIFA converts here, it's completely the way you go about voicing your opinions which is most annoying. It's been happening for months and everyone is getting sick of it (you are not the only culprit here) because there's about 3 or 4 people who just moan on about the same things over and over, provoking arguments, often with each other.

All I'm saying is, be easy on the negativity, we already know you dislike aspects of PES which is only natural. But say them once or twice with a logical argument, and move on to another point, don't recycle the same argument over days, even weeks, that's when it gets annoying.

well watching them video's i wasn't impressed, the first one looked good but thats a promotional video, uif no one has realised that the first one they bring out a different one each year which looks amazing then you get to the gameplay video's yes they were average, they look alrite but from the video's it looked exactly like 09 maybe a few little inhancements to the animation but it did seem still 8way movement, the problem is why do they keep coming at us with all these enhancements to graphcs whenthe graphics weren't that bad, i'm gettin sick of seabass keeps saying every year o i didn't have enough time i didn't put this one in but for everyone to stop worrying they are going in the next one, he been saying that since day one, plus i'm sick to death of all these demo's they keep bringing different builds o this one 50% o this one 75% and so on, in reality when have you seen fifa do that, i've always been a pro evo man, but it seems konami take us all round the houses and never even let us experience it before the game is released remember 2009 demo was a different build completely to the 2009 game came out whats that all about fifa throw it on the table tell u what they've done and bring a demo wot shows it, thats what pisses me off about pro evo why can#'t they just be straight with us and tell us whats happening o its hush hush how can it be hush hush when the new stuff aint even new and its just an updated version

Well, I can also say that I am not impressed either. Maybe I was expecting too much, I don't know. It looks really like 2009 with the same animations and graphics not really "wow" (yeah, I was waiting for that too). The passes look better though and the AI seems to have been improved ( I am curious to see whether scripting is still present).

OK, it is uncompleted, etc. But I am afraid that features like 360 movement have been added recently just because of "external pressure" (i.e. PES communities) and then they will release an unfinished version like it was PES 2008. That would be a disaster.

Anyway, although I am not impressed by the videos, let's wait for the demo.

Pantilimon: What are you saying. I was wrong on these fifa flaws:
Sloow response
No individuality
Dribbling past defenders is not possible unless you use full speed to beat them. No technique
If you say I was wrong on these things about fifa then hey, you must have a different fifa game. Those 3 things alone make a football game far from realistic (but still better than pes 2009).
Not to mention the shooting too and not many goal variations. But let's leave that for now.
Tech skill. Maybe you did say fifa has flaws, but when on earth are you gonna realise that those flaws I mentioned make it far from realistic? I guess never.

BTW I agree with hunter.

come on the gamescom demo doesnt even have 360 movement you can see its still 8-axis.

konami havent just bolted 360 movement on this was planned 3 years ago and has been thoroughly tested.

this gamescom demo is a smoke screen and is miles away from whear pes2010 currently is.Theres no way konami have increased the graphical fidelity added a tactical slider and card system if this gamescom demo is what the final games going to be like.

i dont buy into this gamescom demo negativety for a second seabass himself at gamescom said there aiming for perfection and that fifa10 is going in the wrong direction and doesnt capture the ESSENCE of football and that hes confident pes2010 will be superior.

dont listen to the naysayers theres still a lot more to come both in animation and gameplay.

where having a early look at a beta version of pes2010 and most people are short sighted enough to be judging it against fifa10 which is complete.

You really mean that PerfectStriker? If its true its the best smoke screen Seabass ever invented because I'm hearing it for 3 years now. The build is 80% according Konami's website, how is it possible it will get from the current state to a game we can all appreciate? Hardly believe it can be done....

here we go again the 3 year chestnut.

what konami are saying is the game is currrently at 80% not the demo at gamescom which would of had to have been made at least 4 weeks ago if not longer due to licensing and the checks that need to be carried out by the relevant governing bodies before the games cleared to show,so that rules it out from being the lastest build.

theres no way the demo at gamescom is the 80% build, its probably the demo that was shown back in july to the press and fansites but is being shown with additional content to demonstrate the new lighting and graphics and the removal of the ai assistence and invisible walls on throw ins.Theres also no way each platform version has been optimised yet so the pc,ps3,xbox 360 versions will all be at different stages.

Nothing in the gamescom videos demonstrates 360 movement or the new tricks or the three new running animations plus the additional 300 movement and feinting routines.

Another thing all this rubbish about it being to fast is just ridiculous doesnt anybody actually realise that real football is very quick and speeds up and slows down according to how compact or stretched the play is.

All i ever hear is the ps2 glory days and how pes is now more arcady now and how perfect pes5 or 6 was, when in reality these earlier games where fall of faults and where far from perfect.Pes09 when you actually play it for more then five minutes is one of the best football games made despite its flaws and konami have done the right thing by building on this framework and im 100% confident konami will release the best football game they have ever made this year that will not only recycle the best elements from PES but also there other games like ISS on the n64 for the ultimate football sim.Thers no way its ever going to be like pes6 again the series is moving in a much more simulated measured direction that is less forgiving and more accurate.

P.S KONAMI WHERE MAKING MORE SIMULATED FOOTBALL GAMES BEFORE PES ITS NOT THE BE ALL AND END ALL AND IM GLAD PES09 AND NOW PES2010 IS MARRYING PES WITH THE DEEPER MORE SIMULATED ELEMENTS OF ISS AND YES THAT MEANS FASTER GAMEPLAY WHICH IS ACCURATE NOT 11 DWARFS RUNNING AROUND ON A OVERSIZED PITCH IN 8-AXIS AT A SLOW PACE BUILT AROUND THE SHORT PASS THAT WAS RESTRICTIVE AND ONE DIMENSIONAL.

Actually - I was just wondering where all the motion capture was in these videos. As we all know, then Konami had Messi among a couple of japaneese footballers motion captured for the game...?
I don't believe that they would make such a big fuzz about all the motion capturing, if it wasn't going to be used in the game itself, instead for a trailer or the player movements when both teams walk around the pitch just before kick-off, when the formations are shown etc... Hopes up anyway!

Incorrect, fifa is due for completion in a few weeks and no complete builds have been played to my knowledge.

Point two: According to you konami have been tested 360 movement for 3 years but havent managed to get it into a 50%-60% build?

That doesnt seem right.

you understand absolutely nothing about game development so im not even going to waste my breath explaining it to you.

your a foul mouthed merchant of doom that beats the fifa drum and thinks rather blindly that fifa is more like real football when anyone who actually plays football agrees pes is the better more realistic game.

you sound like all the other computer geeks who think hundreds of button commands equals simulation or that the advancements that fifa have made this year are in anyway relevant to making the game more true.

you understand nothing about the essence of football or can see where pes is heading.

And when you watch closely at replay you will notify that stupid graphics bug,I don't know how to say:unsure: it was present in PES 2009 too.

this is such a old build that doesnt even have the new keeper animations.

wear are the new pointing to cover space animations in defence or players putting there hand up for a pass.

where are the new running and trick animations.

like i say ive seen a very different build to this one this build is around 55%.
