Randy is due to fight Nogueira at UFC 102 in August so should be in there.

Why the hell are Tito & Sylvia in there?? They haven't been with the UFC for ages! Although I will enjoy some ground and pound with Tito!

I've pre-ordered this from Gameplay.co.uk. If you pre-order with first class post you get a code to download 2 extra fighters (Bader & Escudero).

I think Randy may be an unlockable aswell as Gracie and maybe one or 2 others........

I am happy that Tito is in it, he was my favourite and I cant wait to use him.

Just to echo what everyone is saying, this game has blown my expectations away. Had about 10 matches with my brother last night and I can't remember having this much fun with a game in a long while. Simple, intuitive gameplay that will take a while to master (I haven't done much ground yet), and has a random feel to it which makes for great matches. And the graphics are astonishing, some of the best-used I've seen. The knockouts are brilliant, and the use of ragdoll physics at this time is hilarious. "And it is all over!" I'm desperately trying to engineer a spinning backhand (or whatever the technical name is) knockout straight out of the blocks for Liddell, I think if I achieved that, and snuffed it right at that moment, I'd be content.

The game is truely amazing and I might go in and buy an xbox 360 today just to play the demo more, I played it for about 2 hours last night and was just blown away, the ground game is difficult to master but once you do its one mean weapon to have at your disposal and will make you 100 times more dangerous, there are some epic battles on the horizon.
Fiendishly indicative. The proper game is going to be fantastic, and destined to become a personal classic at least. The developers have just nailed it. Could well be this generation's answer to the N64 wrestling games.

I agree and hope so mate.

I hope to God we get Randy, along with the legends as I said, but I heard a vicious rumour that THQ were planning on holding the legends back for the next game, which would be extremely disappointing if true.

As I said above mate, I just hope he is a unlockable when you play the career mode.

I've upped the difficulty from Beginner to the next one up, Experienced I believe it is. So far, it's definitely more difficult and this is noticable by the opponents (Shogun) takedown ability and transitioning. The amount of times I've been countered with a takedown is crazy, while Chuck's takedown defence is good, I always manage to get caught at least once. I'm getting a pretty rough time on the ground as well, Shogun reigns down blows and manages to keep me tightly pressed. I can transition out of a lot of positions, but once he gets the full mount, the majority of the time it's light out for me. He pummels the shit out of me, even after I'm out cold, it's mental.

I'm just going back through the tutorial stages again to try and brush up on my skills. It will become such a better game once I'm more experienced and have learnt the ropes (or the cages ;)) and I'm able to completely manuveore around the canvas with a variety of attacks and defensive capabilities.

Lets hear some of your stories from demo fights then gents, I can imagine a few epic encounters out there so far.

This game is class. Me and my bro had a few quick matches. I must go through the tutorial I think as all our fights have been standing. Our last fight was brilliant, me as Liddell, him Shogun. We both ran at each other once the bell sounded, he did a flying knee and I did an overhand punch, I connected first and knocked him clean out. Epic stuff.

Definitely nothing like Smackdown, the gameplay is way more addictive and realistic. It's a little bit similar to Fight Night but much more smoother in terms of gameplay and there is a huge variety in attack, and also defence.

Thank fuck. :D

Sounds pretty awesome. Fight Night is a must buy, I'll see if this is too after downloading the demo tonight.

I know next to nothing about UFC, but this game is great. If I was into UFC it would be a must buy. Tried it out a few times with each fighter, and it was far easier (for me) to win with Liddell. Very satisfying getting a KO out of nowhere, but it has the exact opposite effect when on the receiving end. :(

It's a fucking brilliant game, especially as I'm a fan of the sport. There's so much to learn and it just keeps you going back for more. It's a shame that we have only two fighters to choose, I'm going to be playing it to death till the full game comes out.
Presentation is second to known. Bravo THQ.

I liked it, it's real easy though so I hope there's some harder difficulties. Looking forward to swinging on people with Rampage. I'm hoping you can make your own fighter too, that would be awesome in some sort of career mode ala Fight Night.

My quickest KO is 25 seconds and my quickest TKO is the same. Whats all of your fastest KOs/TKOs?

Both of them features are unlocked in the full title.

Challenge time, can anyone tap out Chuck on expert mode? :erm:

P.S. This could be the best game I've ever played.

I'm not sure of my quickest so far, but I knocked my bro out 5 seconds into the second round with the first punch thrown.

Downloaded the demo and I've played about 20 games already, the game is amazing. Every aspect of it and this is just the demo. The environment is the best I've seen in a fighting game before. A tournament is needed.

You can go to options and up the difficulty.

Yeah, there is more difficulties. The default level is Beginner, but then there is Experienced, Advanced and then Expert which can be changed in Options in the demo. As you say, Beginner is definitely easy but it's good to unleash frustration from time to time. I'm currently on Experienced and I'm finding it a good challenge, although my last fight I completely destroyed Shogun in 2 minutes which was quality.

As for creating your own fighters, thankfully you can. From what I've heard as well, it seems there is 100 available slots for created fighters. That is the definition of amazing.

On Beginner mind, but my fastest is 12 seconds. If I can remember correctly I sprinted in with Chuck and launched a left hand followed by one or two punches. Then I sat off for a second and then threw a high kick just as Shogun was gearing up a punch, and I caught him flush in the face, to which he very slowly collapsed into a heap. Watched the replay about 20 times, I was actually in shock at the sudden finish in the match. As I say, only Beginner but it was great.

Sweet. I cant wait to get it. We should get a comp going with all of the other fine people of PESGaming.

Its great knocking out mates/family, isnt it? I played my brother and mate earlier and went to town on them. My mate is actually good at it but he got pwned after 40 seconds.

My brother however couldnt hit water if he fell out of a boat

Myself and Minof had a few great scraps last night and a lot of the bouts went to points which was like totally awesome because I won them.

I'm starting to like the ground game now more me thinks.

Both of these are no lies, Gods honest truth.

Playing my brother. I was Rua, he was Liddell. We both run at each other as soon as the bell goes. I crack him with an overhand, before following up with a forearm smash. Its over. The blow was around 4:52, but the official end-time was 4:50, so 10 seconds.

I thought that was the quickest, but we keep playing. By now we've switched characters. We run again. I meet him with a flying punch, as I recall, before following up with a punch to the face. This one I'm certain was officially over by 4:52, 51 at the latest.

So my quickest is 8-9 seconds, fucking hilarious.

I love how when you're grounding and pounding and knock someone out, you can get about 4-5 extra blows in before the fight actually stops. Nice to see the ref not giving a shit about any serious harm coming to the fighter.

Since you brought up the ref I think they could of done better with some of the stoppages, I'd like to see him scramble more to separate the fighters too in general. I'm also hoping the gum shield doesn't fly everytime you get a knock out, I'd like to see it more of a special occasion. lulz

I'm just been a right finicky cunt here now btw.

Was literally just about to come in here to say that. Not as satisfying ground and pounding someone only for the dude to stops half way through swinging because the ref does a little hand gesture - I want to be prized away from the victim with a crowbar god-damn-it.

Aye, the ref's dont dive in to break it up which is a bit of let down. Itd be great to get a few extra shots into a KOd fucker on his way to the canvas like you can in FNR3.

I think being able to catch the ref with a stray blow would have been great also.
