Myself minof and Laughinamn have spent hours just wrestling each other and seeing who can win. If you try this with a mate you'll soon master the ground game, I have Shogun's rubber guard down to a tee now and use it to take Chucks back. when the rubber guard is locked in transition to side control, from there you can take his back and lock in the hooks.
At that stage then you are able to pretty much do as you please, rolling to full mount is probs your best option.
The sequence of moves all starts from been on your back with chuck in full guard, make sure you pull his head towards you first though or he can't lock in the rubber guard.
The ground game is superb, I can't wait for the full roster.

I had a game with Shogun yesterday. I'd knocked Chuck down a few times and let him back up then I decided to try and hack him down with leg kicks. All seemed to be going well until the fucker caught me with a overhand right and knocked me out!
Top game though! I can't wait to be Brock and just start throwing people around the octagon!!

The Judo throws should be some craic.
I wonder if they'll clean up the cuts bug where the fighters look fine the the cornor cut scenes despite taking a bounding during the round?( I imagine they'll have to :/ )
And one more thing....
Someone mentioned hitting the ref yesterady and I thought nothing of it until last night when I caught the ref in the head while basting Shogun from the standing in guard position. Now I know the ref does go transparent and even looks like a different model type to the fighters, but he did flinch.
So hopefully they'll fine tune the referee and the stoppages bit as a whole in the next release and maybe fix the replays bug where the killer blow looks shite compared to the original shot. Again I'll get over all this as I'm just hooked on the gameplay which is outstanding.

I hope it's better than Fight Night's. I used to love starting a Fight Night career, working your way up was great, but after about 25 fights things started to get a little samey and I was pretty much unbeatable.

I need to start with the grapples and stuff. I keep saying Ill work on it but I always end up just going for a record KO. I suppose its okay as I have plenty of time before its release.
Then Bill, LM, you and me can all wrestle each other :blush:
Bill, I played it so much yesterday that I woke up this morning for work with my pillow in a guillotine choke. It didnt tap out...

Definitely enjoying it, I'm still quite shocked at just how good and intuitive it is. It's only a demo but I can see this being one of the best fighting games ever.
I probably had about 6 matches this morning, and lost a few and won a few. I play on Advanced so it's a decent challenge. I'm Shogun the majority of the time as well because I feel I play more tactically as him, plus if I'm Chuck I wade in and Shogun does nothing but try and take me down and mount me - so annoying. I just pick a few combos with Shogun, and get a couple of takedowns usually.
Although in my first match this morning Chuck knocked me out after 36 seconds in the 1st Round :mellow:. Nothing of note had happened, and I just went for a low leg kick to weaken him up a bit, and just a split second after my leg kick landed, he threw a left hook. The punch wasn't particularly powerful, but he caught me right on the jaw so it was night night.

Its definatly worth getting mate, if you read this thread I dont think you will find a bad thing said about it.
