Itd be great to get a few extra shots into a KOd fucker on his way to the canvas like you can in FNR3.

I done it last night so it's there alright. Caught Rua with a stiff left jab sending the gum shield flying and on the way down I caught him with the over hand right.

Was class.

Also on Tuesday night when me and Dundons were playing he was Chuck and picked me up and gave me a power slam(ala last ride), was class....also another great feature is when your opponent is on the ground and you just step in and reign down the punches without mounting, also the up kicks are very dangerous although I have yet to see a knockout from them, the game is definatly a must for all Ufc and Wrestling fans.
The knockouts are just fantastic as are the reversals, as is the groundgame....just a class game that both the Ufc and xBox can be proud of. :)

Definitely agree.

I've picked up Shogun twice now and slammed him, although both times weren't right into the air, they were about hip-height before slamming him back down. Can't wait now to hoist him shoulder-height and make the powerbomb.

I always utilise the kicks, they're deadly as you've said. In fact, I've just knocked Shogun clean out with a left high kick - I knocked him down earlier in the fight with a left high kick also, so I thought I'd target that spot again, and to great effect might I add. Although last fight, even though I won, Shogun nailed me with a kick, I thought I was dead. I leaned in for the trademark Chuck overhand, and as my head dipped forward, Shogun went for the high kick and he connected with his knee into my face - needless to say I flopped like a sack of spuds.

I'm becoming more used to the next difficulty level up now, obviously conquered Beginner, and now I can win on Experienced with Chuck. I'll have to switch to Shogun and truly test my strength and differing manuveores.

It is on the PS3 as well you know Billy...

The belly to belly's are pretty good, though it would be great if they had Severn and gave him some truly horrendous ones. Also, I wonder if you can knock people out with some of the pick-up slams?

When you give a fighter a lot of blows to the stomach, he should eventually drop to his knees, allowing you to get in some fine blows to the head. Could be some good KOs that way.

I liked it, it's real easy though so I hope there's some harder difficulties. Looking forward to swinging on people with Rampage. I'm hoping you can make your own fighter too, that would be awesome in some sort of career mode ala Fight Night.
There is a career mode.

I can see Chuck's "Superman Punch" becoming annoying to be honest. I'm on Experienced difficulty, and since I can win easily with Chuck, I'm trying to get to grips with Shogun and it's just not happening. I've faced Chuck about 6 times in a row, all of which have went to the 3rd Round, but still ended up with me being KO'ed.

The annoying thing is, while I know I can't compete well with Chuck in the stand up game except for maybe knees and kicks to an extent. All it takes is The Iceman to throw one punch to down me, and more often than not it's the "Superman Punch". I can see how it got its name now though because it's like Adriano in PES6 aka Superman. I've never even see Chuck throw these types of punches before though, they should have just not included it but upped the power of his Overhand punch more.

PS: Shogun is bollocks.

EDIT: Finally beat Liddell on points, and in the final round it must be said I dominated. I had more stamina left you see so his attacks looked a bit weary so that's when I decided to reign in some combo blows, all cautiously of course. Managed to get a major counter hook and send him to the canvas, he got back up after a second or so though but it definitely helped sway the judges, that and the few takedowns I got.

I'm slowly starting to appreciate Shogun more, cannot wait to play with the likes of Joe Stevenson though.

I'm really enjoying the demo. Like boxing, I don't really follow UFC, but the games are fun. I'll probably trade Street Fighter for this. I hope the Career Mode is good.

Lets be honest, Shogun is bollocks. Mind you, I played him on Expert with Chuck the other day and got my arse handed to me every time. Once he gets me on the floor that's it. I jostled that right joystick till the cows came home but I just couldn't get out and Chuck died tragically.

I have no interest in UFC whatsoever, (apart from the fact that I like watching people get beat up) but i'm really enjoying this demo. Its really fun.

This game is a must have! I love it!

I play on advanced and it's pretty wierd on advanced.

I'm beating the crap out of Shogun and then a Flying Knee just wipes my Chuck out it's devastating but I still keep on trying. I win one then COM wins then I win etc.. On Expert it's IMPOSSIBLE to beat Shogun when he gets you down it's over! It's unfair he justs Ong Baks me like a donkey on drugs.

But I'm going to get this game definately.

I have this exact problem. I try and keep my distance but he can't wait to get on top of me. Maybe I should actually look at the tutorial to see how I break the hold...

The flying gum shield is irritating me now. If I knock him out when we're grounded it still manages to fly across the ring.

I've moved up to Advanced and I also had the grounding problem against Shogun. It took me many-a-rematch to beat him. I find it a lot easier playing as Shogun on Advanced, as I don't have anyone trying to saddle me. I've improved in getting out of it using transition moves, earlier in the fight, but the more tired you get, the closer to an impossiblity it becomes. My main tactic is to take steps (flick R-stick) then hit.

I'm alreay adicted to this.

Chuck doesnt have the skill to reverse Shoguns submissions so you have to punch your way out of them whereas Shogun can reverse Chucks and you can toggle the right stick.....

Chuck mounted you dig your way out when in submission.
Shogun mounted you skill your way out(Toggle stick) when in submission.

But its all to do with stamina aswell, early doors its very hard to get a submission but as the fight goes on you have a better chance.

Exactly, let it be stated that this is far from a pick up and play type game but I'm loving that. Too long have we all spent hours mastering a fighting game only for some useless cunt to just stroll in and smash the fuck out of you with just some good auld fashion button bashing.

In this game if someone is getting fresh you take them down and murder them in your own time and when it suits you.

This game is amazing.
