That's what I was thinking, I was gonna go for one of the greats of a year or two ago to save some cash. Fuck spending £40 on a game.

Battlefield 3 is about the best shooter around id say. Ive had all cod games but since getting MW3 at christmas only played bout 3 hours of it. Just cant get into it at all. Some good bargains out there. If anyone aint tried CRYSIS 2 go and get it. Its fuckin brill! Also vanquish is quite good if you like bringing down giant robots with ridiculous japanese music playing in the background.

I'd probably try and avoid the latest Call of Duty. It's quite unbalanced, and loses appeal very quickly. Black Ops is probably one of the more balanced, fulfilling Call of Duty experiences available, as it places more emphasis on the player and their ability as opposed to countless air support strikes and machinery. It might even be a touch cheaper than the newer Modern Warfare 3 as well.

I've not played Battlefield 3 enough to pass judgement on that particular game mind. I spent a little time on the Beta, but not enough to say it's worth buying or not. It did seem more open and methodical as opposed to the latest Call of Duty though.

Playing Mass Effect 2 today. Figure 3 is out now I'll have to catch up at some point. One thing I will say, it's massive. And good so far. Remembering why I enjoyed the first one so much.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D

Never played MGS3 for more than 5 minutes before, don't know why as it is awesome. Great story so far.

The Old World Blues DLC on Fallout New Vegas. Very enjoyable must be said, vastly more impressive than Dead Money.

I'm still loving it. I've not done much except play exhibition matches really for months now, but it's still so damn good to me. It's like creating art in motion and achieving a smooth flowing and cinematic match is so rewarding. It's just a shame we can't save an entire match as a replay.

My last match was classic Kane vs. Undertaker in an Inferno match, at an In Your House arena. :cool:

It is a very good game. There's still work to be done before it's THE wrestling game, but they've steadily made progress.

And the server for CC actually works now!

Interesting, but feels like a poor man's Deus Ex. Some serious eye-bleeding lighting effects too, almost to the point of distraction.

Yeah, there's undoubtedly still work to be done (standing on top of the announcer's table anyone?), but in terms of gameplay, it's damn solid. They've got a really excellent foundation to work from I think, because with great gameplay, the sky is the limit as they just need to tweak the surrounding modes really.

As for the CC server, I didn't even realise. I managed to have a quick search last night and download Booker T from his WCW days, but it never occurred to me that it was fixed, as I can occasionally get on. I'll try it out soon though, because I'd love to download some more arenas!

Just to reitterate, Metal Gear Solid 3 is a fucking awesome game. I might buy the HD collection now to compliment my 3DS title as I liked MGS2 and have never played Peace Walker.
