Bioshock ? *bows down*

One of my all time favourite games, I don't think I've ever been so immersed in a story, even my dad loved it. I'll probably end up buying the special edition version in the tin box soon since it will probably only be about £15 or so. Definetely need to give it another play through before Bioshock 2 is released though, shall be something of epic proportions.

I've just cleared the Medical Pavillion. It's great fun. What a game. I've decided that I shall rescue the Little Sisters. I couldn't bring myself to harvest 'em.

I had the Incinerate plasmid for a while, and I used it to burn away the ice that was blocking one of the entrances found in the Medical Pavillion. But I swapped Incinerate out for Telekinesis before I had melted the second frozen doorway found in the Medical Pavillion! I believe it's the one leading to a Funeral area. Is there a Gene Bank to be found anywhere nearby? If I leave the Medical Pavillion is it possible to return there at a later date? I hate not getting to explore every possible area. Damn it!

Good to hear you're enjoying it man. I can't describe how interesting and exciting the plot is, the fact it didn't have a multiplayer mode made it so much better for me. No distractions from the developers, plus it means you can focus solely on the immersive story.

I wouldn't have a clue about a lot of the levels now to be honest mate, been so long since I've played it. I'm guessing you're playing the PS3 version since it's only recently been released. I do think you can backtrack though and go over previous steps in case you have missed anything.

Sonic Unleashed. Rather terrible. What it does good it does very good, the old-school style levels are great fun. Unfortunately, everything else is a chore to endure. It's impossible to skip the cutscenes which were clearly aimed at someone no older than 10. The werehog levels and collecting all the pointless coins around the town are just torrid.

BioShock. I'm not that far through the game as I'm taking it at a Sloth's pace and saving every 2 minutes in case I screw it all up. It's been superb so far, despite some strange glitch where Big Daddys keep respawning? I was unsure how I would take to the game as I found the demo creepy (and I'm terrible at any game remotely involved with horror) but once the splicers appear more often it becomes easier to withstand. The dialogue they come out with is hilarious.

Hmm, just realised there's plenty of Bioshock talk above.

Just completed BioShock. Truly superb game. I don't really know how they'll get on with the prequels/sequels because I highly doubt it can capture the same atmosphere. Sander Cohen's rant followed by an onslaught of spider slicers while "Waltz Of The Flowers" plays is one of my all-time gaming highlights.

F.E.A.R 2. Overall it's pretty piss poor. The graphics seem to be about 3 years out of date, as does the shooting (which, you know, is a pretty big thing in an FPS). The horror and supernatural aspects are done well, but it gets ridiculous trying to shoot at ghosts and fend off crab-like insane patients(?). The online multiplayer is awful, and seems to be tagged on for no reason but just to add a little more excruciating gameplay. No soul there whatsoever.

And it has the worst game ending ever.

Papa

Thank you for reading.
Pokemon Red. Oh yes

Just beat the Elite Four and Gary, then went and caught Mewtwo. Now I'm not sure whether to carry on trying to "Catch them all" or just leave it.

Has stirred up such memories playing this game. I'd completely forgot about some of the coolest parts of the game.

And let me guess you've blazed through all the trophies already? :shifty:

How the hell do you do it?

You get a trophy for every level completion. :/

I feel sorry for anyone going for the platinum as there's no way in hell they're getting the multiplayer ones. Nobody plays it, and with good reason.

Silent Hill: Homecoming

I'm not far enough into the game to really drop an opinion but, the atmospshere is brilliant right from the word "go" and the control system is very accomodating.
