Where would you place the next GTA?

BELIEVE
I'm not totally sure as I haven't bothered giving it a great deal of thought although I wouldn't mind seeing it back in LA. I loved the whole sunny feel while cruising round the streets, was very relaxing and fun. Doubt the game would be able to replicate the enjoyment of San Andreas though, truly one of the best games ever. I had more fun playing that than GTA IV definetely, but me growing up a few years may also have had a tiny influence in that.

London would be good plus some country missions, like in Birmingham, Nottingham,Derby, Leeds u get the drift. Does anybody knows when GTA5 will be released?

According to Loose Talk in the latest Game Informer, RockStar North is already working on the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, which should be ready for release this holiday season.

"We're not talking about new DLC or a collection of previously available DLC, we're talking about a full retail game. We expect this title to follow the suit of previous GTAs and use a subtitle such as GTA: San Andreas, etc. Tokyo might be a possible setting for the game, but details are non-existent at this time." - Game Informer Issue 190

It wouldn't be surprising for RockStar to release the next GTA this soon – as you may recall, Vice City hit the shops only a year after Grand Theft Auto III was released for PlayStation 2.

Stay tuned for more details as they break.

Oh and for Xbox users, something like a GTA4 Episode is being released near October.

We checked in with the Rockstar folks this week to check out the first downloadable episode, The Lost and Damned, which is due to hit the Xbox 360 next month. A second episode for Grand Theft Auto IV owners is planned to arrive before October 31, 2009, according to parent company Take-Two Interactive, But there is "no truth" to reports that a wholly new retail game, one on par with the scope of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, will arrive before the holidays.

Amsterdam! Dodging whino's and needles, dealing crack around our big penis monument, robbing Oleguer's house, and no stealing any cars because they will all be wheel clamped.

BELIEVE
I wouldn't mind a variety like we had in San Andreas. I'd love to see Las Vegas at night in all it's glory with High-Definition, as well as other cities like Los Angeles on a beautiful morning. Not to forget a nice day-time area such as Miami or Florida. I would just love a real mix of cities, obviously all being on different islans as was the case in San Andreas.

That way we'd see the re-introduction of planes, which is always a nice thing.

let the caracter start off as a worker in COLUMBIA who get's laid off and starts stealing for a living because he has a wife and kids to support then ends up in jail .
meets a few small time coke dealers their and starts working for him.
steals from them and escapes with his family and the dope to THE NETHERLANDS flies with the KLM and sees a big airport like SHIPHOL for the first time.
starts his drug operation their and expands to other parts of europe ( LONDON , SPAIN AND ITALY).
the columbians who he stole from come to europe to look for him but because of his welth and contacts they can't do anything to him in europe so they go back to columbia and kidnap his mother and hold her for ransom.
he goes back to COLUMBIA but first to BRAZIL for CARNIVAL and to meet his brothers and ask them to help him because they know COLUMBIA better and he can really use the help because the person he stole from is none other than PABLO ESCOBAR and at the moment he is the most powerfull man in COLUMBIA.
all this around the late 80's.
sinds he's from SOUTH AMERICA he has to be a football fan so watching matches with friends should be an option on tv and in stadiums.
think about it the late 80's he could go watch AJAX in AMSTERDAM ,BARCELONA AND MADRID WHEN HE'S IN SPAIN, AC MILAN WHEN HE GOES TO ITALY, MANCHESTER UNITED WHEN HE GOES TO ENGLAND AND OFCOURSE WHEN HE GOES TO BRAZIL HE CAN WATCH THE BEST 80'S NATIONAL TEAM EVER WITH SOCRATES AND ZICO.
i know i'm just dreaming here but it would be great if they pulled it off.
the option to play two on two football with his friends should be available also.

Las Vegas would be cool. The gun fights in the casinos could be immense; including casino heists. May you would have to take someone you've killed to the desert and bury them there.

I would quite like San Andreas but set now as opposed to having it set in the past. As others have said, LV would be amazing with the HD graphics, as would LS and SF. A mix of GTAIV (graphics, gameplay, etc) and SA (cities/countryside, car modding, planes, gambling, etc) would be an incredible game.

Although, now that The Getaway 3 has been cancelled, another game set in London would be nice :)

GTA:GB

Although i wouldn't fancy having to mooch around Birmingham. A gta great Britain would be fantastic.

GTA:WASHINGTON

Present day Washington with the ability to move to some surrounding areas. Having watched the wire i think this could work and there would be plenty of scope for missions. Parts of Baltimore could certainly used and would be interesting to explore.

GTA:EUROPE

It would be fantastic to move around Europe and conduct illegal business. Say you started of in England and then unlocked other cities such as Rome, Istanbul and Barcelona. There is more of a focus in gta 4 of using public transport and this could be used on a greater scale.
