ShopTo no longer have WWE '12 with The Rock DLC in stock, only the standard WWE '12 game.

I can see why people would buy The People's Edition for sure. It's only £5 extra, and you get a nicer front cover, with foil sleeve, along with a few other goodies, including a DVD of probably great WWE matches, so it's probably quite reasonably priced. Whilst Amazon's is around £2 more for a Miz shirt, and alternate colour trunks I think. Not too bad.

Went with Shopto (£37 odd). They're gonna dispatch tomorrow, so should get it by Thursday.

If you're asking for it as a Xmas present, ask for The People's edition. May as well!

I noticed ShopTo have a pre-order policy, with a £3 refund if the pre-order isn't at your door by the release day. That's pretty damn sweet to be honest. I've never noticed that was in place before.

I'd probably have to agree with your second comment too. What's £5 extra really when it comes to asking for a Christmas present!? It'll be the first WWE game I've played in probably 5+ years, so I may as well enjoy The People's Edition. :happy:

Is Play.com's The People's Edition a pre-order exclusive too? I'm a little confused at this point.

All 50 caws spots will be old wrestlers, probably split between WWF and NWA/WCW. Only use the legends and a select number of current wrestlers from the in game roster. People like Miz, Ryder, Kingston etc I won't even touch.

EDIT I'll be making Mark Henry Sexual Chocolate.

I can see me using pretty much every WWE Superstar on the in-game roster to be honest. I'm the type of person who likes to experiment when gaming as far as match-ups go (forever playing random matches on PES to see how I enjoy playing with a particular team I otherwise would never do) - so I can see me doing something similar with WWE '12. I may not 'random' matches as having Kelly Kelly vs. Mark Henry isn't exactly one that would be fair, realistic or believable as such, but I'd be more inclined to even play through lower-card matches, for instance; William Regal vs. Daniel Bryan etc.

I can't wait to get creating some wrestlers though.

Play.com are the only UK retailer selling The People's Edition I believe, given they're advertising it as a "Play.com exclusive".

Anyway, I've text my dad, kindly letting him know about my request for Santa. I'm seeing him tomorrow anyway at my brother's Graduation ceremony which will be nice. I just thought I'd let him know tonight though as knowing him, he'll get it ordered straight away - and I don't really want to take the risk of The People's Edition running out of stock, or becoming unavailable if it's going to just be a pre-order exclusive.

I'm genuinely looking forward to WWE '12 now. I know I won't be playing it until Christmas, but in a way, that's a good thing as it'll give me ample time to enjoy other games I've recently bought for myself (Lego Harry Potter and MW3).

Pre-ordered the people's edition from shopto for £36 as i had a few quid on my account, plus shopto are great for delivering on/before release date.

With this I have a big range of games to play for the next few months! This, Madden 12, NBA 2k12, Fifa 12, BF3, MW3 and FM 2012. Should last me more than a few months I think!!

Edit:

Watching some videos and wow. The graphics are pretty awesome, the entrances, the faces, the arena, the ropes and even the crowd is alot better than in previous versions of the game. I know it's not a major thing but when you want it to be realistic and there's a load of 2D people jumping up and down in the background it looks pretty stupid.

Only Play.com are selling The People's Edition. Although it's quite similar, as the WWE '12 sold everywhere else still includes The Rock DLC. :cool:

I know what you mean by having a stack of games to play. I think I'm going to try and power through them from now on until Christmas time.

Shipped now. Will be playing this bad boy tomorrow. Really looking forward to it, as I have heard nothing but good views on it, although it still has some daft things in, but nothing that ruins the game.

This looks pretty decent, I didn't bother with the last instalment but considering how bad PES has been this (and Saint's Row 3) will be a good filler.

Have they improved the create a finisher editor again?

I'm not too sure. I know last year they added a corner finisher, but I never used the mode at all.

I'm going to wait till the new year now, as they're bound to come down in price again. Get that, a big telly and a couple of games at the same time and then just pretend to have cancer or something so I can have a few months off work to play it.
