I've not seen too much in the way of trailers and videos but from the small snippets and information I've read, it does look very promising, however I've quickly become bored of the last few Rockstar games so I may or may not stump up the money for it, we'll see.

Does that mean it'll be a lengthy game, 40 hours long etc? Or does it mean that a lot of cutscenes will be used and the length will not actually be that great?

Might be not as bad as it sounds, it could be like Fable 3 where everyone is constantly talking and you just get on with the game, so it would all add up to like 10 hours worth, I don't know.

They've got Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (looks better than you'd think) coming out first, so there's no chance of the second Harry Potter game making a 2011 release. Don't actually think it's been officially announced even though it is an inevitability.

I'm sure Lego Star Wars would be a good game, but you kind of need to know the story quite well in order to grasp the games and enjoy them more as there's no dialogue is there. I'm not a fan of Star Wars at all to be honest, I think I seen one movie (they were having a race with weird small crafts through canyons) and I just wasn't impressed at all, almost fell asleep in fact. Needless to say I'll be skipping the game as well.

I kind of figured there might not be a Lego Harry Potter release since nothing has been mentioned, but just thought I'd throw it out there in optimism considering the final movie is this year. I'm sure Lego Pirates of the Caribbean will keep me more than occupied though.

You mean Phantom Menace Hunter? I wouldn't judge the saga off that one, it was probably the worst of the lot. I think the original three would be worth trying if youy haven't already, and have a couple of hours to spare. These are totally different from the one you have seen.

I may pick the Harry Potter one up for the missus when it eventually arrives, I take it the first 1 to 4 years are already out.

I've never been a fan of sci-fi related things though to be honest. The closest I'll come to liking something sci-fi related is Jericho, and that only ran for 2 seasons, and was barely sci-fi. Star Wars just isn't my thing, nor is Star Trek, Galactica or anything remotely related to outer space aliens with silly head gear and spaceships.

Anyway...

Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 is already out yeah, and it's a great adventure game to be honest packed with puzzles and really solid gameplay. I actually completed it 100% which is something I never do with games, I usually only play them till I become somewhat bored and then sell them (only reached 35% on GTAIV, 35% on Red Dead Redemption, etc etc). However I felt compelled to complete Lego Harry Potter because I was so surprisingly impressed and it was more enjoyable than it was a task I think. So if you/she's into those kind of puzzle adventure games then it'd be a good purchase I'm sure.

Fair enough, I myself watched it when I was a kid and was hooked from then on.

The Harry Potter would be for her as I usually go for more realistic or darker games like war, mystery or Horror games but I did get her the latest Sims recently and reluctantly tried it myself and must admit to finding it quite amusing.

I know what you mean about not finishing games to 100%. Thats usually how I am and the only game I remember being compelled to fully complete was Jak and Daxter on the PS2. Good times.

Yeah, I barely ever finish games 100%. I did get a solid 91.5% on GTA, but I couldn't be arsed shooting anymore damn pidgeons. Red Dead I only got about 64%, but I do want to complete that 100% sometime.

The only games i've completed 100% (as in got all the achievements also) are Call of Duty 4, Lost (i'd never recommend this to anyone), Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, the recent Harms Way arcade game, and i'm one achievement away from completing Fallout 3 100%.

Good news about Lego: Harry Potter though as I was thinking of picking that up later this week, aswell as The Sims 3 if I can find it anywhere.

Anyone else having difficulty finding games on Black Ops? It's proving actually impossible to find one game at the moment.

I've heard people say the servers for Black Ops and the connections are poor but I've honestly never witnessed it before, I thought it was purely a problem for PS3 users. My signal strength is "Open" and has always been great, still is, according to my Xbox Live connection. But I just can't find a game at all. The servers can't be down as it states there's over 500,000 players online at the moment in the playlists. Hmm... so anyone else suffering? Or have previously suffered and able to give advice?

Every game i tried to play on black ops earlier took ages to connect and then lagged bad enough for me to quit after 2 or 3 games. I thought it was just my internet though.

Yeah, I think somehow my Network Adaptor came loose so I had to reconnect it and I was soon back up and running. Funnily I haven't actually touched my Xbox for about a week, yet the adaptor has slipped out.

I'm really doing well on Black Ops right now, and I'm definitely getting better as the weeks go on. I find myself achieving over a 2 ratio consistently now pretty much every game. My overall k/d is now probably 1.80 or around that I imagine as it was 1.78 the other day and I've been playing well since. I've been using quite an array of guns as well so I'm quite happy with my versitility of play and gradual increase in high k/d. I've been using the M16, Famas, AK47, Commando and Shotger (I think it's called, the LMG), as well as the AK74u and Galil as I pick them up every match from a dead body when I've run out of ammo.

My Broadband is being installed on the 31st so I will shortly after be running around on Black Ops like a headless chicken or losing 15-0 on PES.

How much do you guys pay for your Live?

I believe that there is a ranking system on Live too, does this make it possible to pick shit opponents to look good against instead of slipping into depression following another embarrassing pounding?

Finally got my copy of Bad Company 2 from Zavvi (well yesterday) and it's soo good, the best multiplayer game I've played!

Not tried it in a while tbh Stott but im sure some people still play it.


My new xbox turned up today. Setting it up and transferring all my shit atm. Set kinect up which seems alright, will have to have a few games later. The voice activated commands are funny "Xbox Tray open" lol


Btw Its sooo quiet!
