I think I'll simply install the games on the hard drive! Shouldn't be a problem as I have a 120GB 360.

I think you mean the opposite, you actually need to be able to aim in Black Ops because kill streaks won't do everything for you.

Gears became quite boring after the first one, it's effectively rehashes now, and it wears thin quite quickly. I don't think I'll bother with Gears 3 whenever that comes out to be honest, I already know what it'll be like...Gears 1 & 2.

I'm yet to play Battlefield mind, but I do hear a lot of great things about it. I still need to get through Red Dead Redemption and Lego Batman first though.

You're saying that as if the UAV isn't one of the best weapons on the game - it is brilliant. Of course, probably less affective on S&D with most using Ghost (Cold Blooded?), but I play TDM the vast majority of the time, so it's genuinely an incredible tool to employ - as several on the other team often opt for other perks rather than Ghost. I'd even go as far as to saying the UAV and Counter-UAV are better than the majority of kill streak rewards, bar possibly the likes of the Chopper Gunner and sometimes the helicopter etc.

Different strokes for different folks.

I'm definitely stoked to see the new map pack being released next week though. It's around the time I finish uni as well so it's a real sweet reward for myself, especially considering I have nearly enough points on my Xbox account anyway I believe - so it'll literally only cost me a few quid. :w00t

My model is a few years old, but thankfully since it was repaired it doesn't make too much noise now - or it does but my mind automatically blocks it out. :lol:

You block it out. It starts quiet after repair, but gradually gets louder.

That helps on a lot of games... but for some reason not FIFA 11. My 360 sounds like a hurricane when I play that, even though it has a full install.

I've barely played on my Xbox this past week mind purely due to time constraints, what with uni work 'n' all. Hence why I'm up right now, it'll be an all-nighter for me trying to finish this assignment. It doesn't actually have to be handed in till Tuesday, but I've another huge assignment (dissertation) to focus upon so it's best to get this smaller assignment out of the way right now. I'm coming to the realisation that once I've finished this assignment and my dissertation, I'll be needing to print of probably 100+ pages. :lol:

Anyway, apologies, back to gaming!

But man oh man, I cannot wait to finish work just so I can rape Red Dead Redemption. I've been getting so into it lately (prior to work), and considering I never got past about 30% previously, it's such a refreshing experience, especially with my new found love of the Western genre.

Killstreak rewards that get you kills are superior in S&D, but I choose 3,4,5 as they're not only easy to get, but they help the team more than personal glory. Most people DO use Cold Blooded, but it's worth having a UAV if you're 1v3, 1v2, or 1v3; it makes clutch wins a bit more managable.

Crysis 2 is excellent; best one player story I've played for years...

360 pad feels a little clunky to me. Would prefer if had a symmetrical design like the PS3 pad.

I had a Playstation 1 and 2 for YEARS before the Xbox was even invented, but grew to prefer the Xbox pad. It just feels more ergonomical to me; you'll get used to it.

Definitely agree with this.

The Xbox 360 controller just moulds into the hands perfectly and feels so natural. You'll get used to it soon enough and begin to love it Viper.

It's a shame not many of you still play MW2 (only Top Gun springs to mind), as it would have been a good laugh to get some private games going, like a few of us used to on MW1 on the PS3...
