Reading the message on xbox.com it doesn't say anywhere that is specific to a certain region, just says that they'll repair any xbox 360s free of charge for 3 years from their purchase date but only if they get the 3 red lights problem.

My nephew got hold of it and scrathed it really badly. Had to spray polish on the disc and leave it in the freezer for 4 hours. Then clean it all off and it may repair the scratch. Its only good to do as a last resort though

Yeah, they won't check either they'll just take your word for it, and repair the console how they would as if it had the red lights problem. The only problem is they take the piss repairing consoles, my mates took 4 weeks to be repaired and sent back. Whilst mine in warranty took 6 days to get a refurb sent back...

I'm thinking of buying Crackdown this week, can get it for £15 from play-asia. Anyone played it?

Downloaded the demo, was on the fence whether I liked it or not but then again it was only the demo. £15 seems like a good offer as well.

My 360 is starting to fuck up as well now, got it for Christmas and it's been running smoothly until around 1 week ago. Now when I turn the 360 on, maybe 1/5 times it loads up black and white. Sometimes removing all the cables and inserting them into their slots again works, but sometimes it doesn't. I then just have to either wait a while for it to turn to colour or keep Restarting the console until it loads in colour. I expect the 3 Red Lights of Death soon.

Crackdown is quality if you can play online with a friend, otherwise I can see it getting kind of old, it's gameplay is MUCH better than GTA's, but there's not really much to do in the actual city. It's fun to go on and fuck around in every now and then, picking up a car, climbing on top of tall building, and tossing it off rarely grows old.

I first bought Crackdown for the Halo beta but decided to play it. Leveling up is a great part of the game and then there is a cheat mode after completing the game which allows you to jump 4 times higher and everything gets better. So with a mate and just messing about it rawks.

Crackdown's a real decent game, but I think it can get boring after a while or so if you choose to just go through the bosses.

It's a great game for messing around, though. Just going around collecting the agility points is a good thing to do if you wan't to waste a few hours away. Also as JoeyM said, grabbing a car, climbing up a tall building and then chucking it off never gets old. Definately not better then GTA, though.

I didn't mean it was better than GTA overall, because it's not close, but the gameplay in general is far more polished and fun overall imo. Aiming and shooting is less of a chore and the running and driving controls are much tighter.

Purchased Overlord the other day because I had a little go on ze demo and I'm actually really enjoying the game. The camera is an awful feature, it points all over the place and the controls are slightly flawed but if you can handle that then within is a charming little game. Basically you are an evil Overlord and you can gather up Armies of Minions who are willing to die for you. You control these guys and can make them do tasks for you. The dialogue is at times funny and it is a colourful and cheerful game, I would recommend it if you fancy a kind of simple and chilled game.

Thanks for the comments on Crackdown lads. I've decided to order it and hopefully will like it. I'm currently playing Colin McRae Dirt, Pretty good game, got it for £25 from play.com.

I cant wait for PES this year, as long as they do include the stadium builder

I rented out The Darkness earlier today, and It's really good.

Just one thing though, I'm stuck. You know when you just enter Pier 69 ? Yeah, well, I don't have a clue where to go. I looked at a guide and it says "Go through the Pool Hall"... I can't enter any building, let alone a Pool Hall. Any help appreciated, of course.

Anyone seen much of Stranglehold? It looks a very good game and it wasn't at E3, but instead of being at E3 they have created a demo which they have finished making and are just waiting on microsoft to put it up on the marketplace as soon as possible!
