Mine's going slow now too. Only at 8%. There's a guy who has it though and is mega-uploading it in 10 mins.

EDIT: And I won't play it til the real-world updated mod is out, anyway.

Ditto.

I may have to push this guy to the moon when I play:

So I take it once we download this, we will still have all the fake names?

Also, mine took 2 minutes to download.

Yes. And it's the original data. There's real-world updates flying around at bobinc and ewinventory, but nothing up-to-date.

As far as I know, there's two groups of guys working on real-world updates on EWB, and they're aiming for an August release. Only when you try doing one yourself you can appreciate how long it takes to update this in comparison with EWR.

I just stuck the 1998 data on. I checked out a few wrestlers and TV show details, oh boy, it's all very overwhelming. Thankfully you can talk to your booking team and the wrestlers themselves, which will be a huge help. I need to import some story lines next as making your own seems a right chew on.

I'm doing some editing and I'm coming across some terms I don't quite understand so hopefully someone can help me out here.

Chain Wrestling (It's under the skill section of a wrestler)
Flashiness (ditto)

Any more I come across I'll update/post.

Chain wrestling is basically when you and your opponent keep trading moves, without letting go of each other.

For example: Regal arm drags Finlay, keeps hold of his arm to apply an armbar, Finlay works to his feet and reverses it in to a hammerlock, Regal reverses that to a standing hip toss and applies the armbar again, Finlay reverses etc.

I'm not sure what flashiness is, but I'd guess it's the moves luchadores do.

Yeah I was thinking flashiness might have something to do with being aerial although their is a separate skill for aerial.

Here's another but I think I know it. Spot Monkey (this is under under style) - I'm guessing this basically means someone who usually goes for the high spots i.e. Jeff Hardy or AJ Styles?

Dan

Spot monkeys are usually the ones who aren't exactly good in the ring and instead rely on high/crazy "spots" to get over.

Some would say Foley was/is a spot monkey. Same with Sabu. Jeff was, but I think he's improved somewhat. I wouldn't consider Styles one, but some would argue I suppose.

Not too sure what flashiness is then. Maybe it's something to do with your look. Like a 1995 Shawn Michaels.

And yeah, that's what a spot monkey is.

Edit: Agree with Dan on his definition of spot monkey.

Cheers guys.

Trying to create the file I had in EWR but it is certainly taking a while. :D

I've only added in a few tag teams, created the TLC match, Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank and now I'm trying to create a storyline for a tag team triple threat for a TLC match.

Dan, what is feuding like? One thing I didn't like about EWR was the fact that you couldn't do Triple Threat or Fatal Four Way feuds.

I've looked at a few functions and options in the game and all I can say is wow. Looks like it's going to take a lot of time planning out things. Which I will enjoy, as I like the fact that there is so much depth now. It's more than feuds now, it's specific storylines.

I will however wait till the up to date release comes out, even if it takes a few months, because a file I downloaded earlier was just not finished (it did say so to be fair) and everything was a mess.

I was just going to do the WWE one myself with just some key wrestlers but now I don't think I can be bothered. I think I might download that WWF one Dan has. I noticed the storylines in the game and you can edit your own. It took me about half an hour just trying to create a storyline for a triple threat tag team match that I was going to make a TLC. The game is definitely a lot more specific.

Well I've only had a brief look, but you can definitely have more than 2 people feuding. I'm sure I saw a 6 man one. It basically tells you how too book the feud/storyline too. There's at least 5 stages in the 1 vs. 1 feud.
"Worker 1 beats worker 2 by cheating > Worker 1 boasts about their victory > Worker 2 eventually gets revenge > etc etc."

Oh, and another cool thing I've noticed is you can import data from other updates. For example my 1998 data didn't have any default story lines, so I downloaded some, (one of which was a RAW roulette story) but there wasn't many, so I had a look around and I stumbled across the import option which allows you to import anything from workers, to belts, to story lines. Pretty awesome.

TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) has risen from 59 overness to 80 overness in two weeks :| (EWR)

Edit: My Armageddon PPV only got 80% Overall

From what I can tell, the update for TEW is coming along very nicely.

There's about 6 different people working on different aspects of the WWE making sure everything is how it should be.

There's also guys working on the other promotions (including TNA of course) and then there's others making sure all the venues are up-to-date and accurate.

And, even though it won't be of much use to us, people from Scotland and Germany are doing work on their local promotions too, so it seems when this does get released, it'll be extremely (no pun intended) detailed.

No confirmed release date as of yet, but the way they're all posting updates on what has been done each day, I think we're looking at late July to early August.
