I really want to like this game but I just can't. It's the attacking aswell that's letting it down. The passing is painfully slow and weak, which just leads to a load of interceptions no matter how hard you try and pass the ball.

The defending is obviously awful. Just feels like i'm spending 70 minutes and above in games just waiting for the opponent to make a mistake. Doesn't feel like i'm in a competition at all.

I think L2 is the close dribbling now? L1 looks to be the button for holding the ball up. Basically, they now have a new button to turn everyone into Heskey.

I like the sound of the youth academy, it certainly has the potential to make career mode a lot less boring, especially if they have sorted the player growth like they say they have.

That video does look good but In one of screenshots you can see one player is a 14 year old CB who's 5'9. I hope when he grows up he grows taller because a 5'9 cb isn't really ideal. It could really ruin the whole youth idea.

It has potential to actually be playable for more than one season though which is good news!

Tackling can be awful at times. Too many times I have made the tackle, but the ball just bounces of the A.I. and they keep possession.

Playing against the AI is always a bit shit on FIFA games. There comes a point where you're playing Man Utd v Accrington Stanley and their forwards are doing 360 turns past you which leads you to think "sod this for a game of toy soldiers." Most of my enjoyment from the game is in the online modes, even if I do get disconnected all the time.

This was definitely true in FIFA 11. I would then look at the player's stats, to see he has 1 or 2 stars for skills, but manages to do mad skillz!
