Pes is shockingly bad. End of day you pay for a game tht should b completed in which shouldnt need option files for licenses etc. Poor Gameplay this year for me!

S-D-P: I just wrote about that in other forum.. I agree with you that FIFA on legendary is just about milion times more difficult, than PES on most difficult level.. But, what actualy happend when i play FIFA on this level? Most of the matches finished by Draw 0:0.. But, if i would like to play on this level, than it have to be 20 mins one half, and that is too much.. Also I dont know how about you, but for me, there aren´t spectacular goals in fifa like in PES.. I like FIFA works in midlefield, but in front of goal there is only one king.. Big question is that what is actualy simulation.. Something what you have to play for about same time as the real footy, without any spectacular shots.. Crosses, which are twice as high an two times slower, then they are kicking in real? Or pure enjoyment of PES, where every shoot looks great and all that staff in front of goal feels and looks great.. Atmosphere of the match and so.. When i play fifa, it feels cold, no-one is excited, non of them making mistakes.. PES have heart, which is beating and reacting on the situations.. FIFA is robot, which tries to look great, but there is no heart.. I was playing fifa for long time, but never felt that sort of excitement.. Especialy when you make little tournament with few friends. I feel that when we play world cup, it feels like it too.. When we played Fifa, it was just a game.. You haven´t seen story of that tournament, but in PES, there is that staff.. That is simulation for me, not some super animations, but when it is about shooting, player looks like wood, and than shoots, ball is flying 300 mph. Then net is just move like it wasn´t even shoot.. After that, you put some stupid kombo in, to make celebration.. Than you waiting for replay, and see all that disaster.. You wanna make a substitution and have to go truth slow menu and after that there is for some reason stupid view of stadium for five secs, then player running for substitution of the other player and not looking even tired or anything.. After faul, all players are teleporting over the whole pitch (Probably, they can run in speed of light).. And i am not talking about faces in FIFA, colours, framerate issues and all theese basic things.. But still, I don´t want to say that Fifa is so bad.. I feel that both games should take something from each other..

You have to make your own excitement in fifa, where as pes makes it for you...!!! You cant be good enough at fifa if your not scoring spectacular goals...

For me it's the goalies a the fact that the responsiveness is shocking, especially when you lose the ball and the player keeps on running for about 2 seconds and then stops dead on the spot and then turns around!! That juts doesn't happen in real life!

I was thinking about it too that i am not that good in FIFA if i haven´t seen any nice shot.. But it is not only my issue, but all of the people which plays FIFA.. Just check youtube.. The goals and shooting system in FIFA 09 is not matching even ISS pro evo.. When the player kicks the ball, it's always looking strange.. When he kicking the ball gets completely different reaction, slow motion, and then super fast 100 mph shot. Also it isn´t about that i can not score in fifa, though i had difficulty on the start, but the way goals are in general.. Just check you tube and you will understand, what i am trying to say.. There is milion different goals in PES and they always look correct and satisfaing.. In fifa you must look truth milion replays and try to find one, which doesn´t look strange..

One of the most glaring problems in controlling your player's movements in BAL mode, if you use the default camera setting, is the fact that you need to constantly adjust your movements according to the panning and zooming camera. It costs me alot of changes on goal being a forward. Also when the camera zooms in close near the opponents goal area it restricts the field of vision to the sides to the point where every pass to the sides and to the rear is a guessing game.
of course you can change the camera settings but then again, the regular wide mode doesn't feel as "authentic" as the vertical mode so I put up with the aforementioned problem, tho I do hope Konami would fix the camera to a more static sort of a thing.

Another thing about BAL mode - does the shooting targeting work the same way in vertical & regular mode?
I mean in regular mode you shoot left and right by pushing up and down on your gamepad but is it the same in vertical mode? I wonder cos almost 100% of my scoring attempts seem to fly straight toward the middle of the goal, no matter what I push on my gamepad...maybe it's my still yet poor shooting skills (all relevants skills below 80)

I use auto shooting right now, but find myself using manual cross or lobbed pass to shoot sometimes, if the situation calls for it. The range of goals possble in fifa really is endless because of manual controls. It's just hard to pull off the really special efforts, which makes them even more special when they do happen.

Triggiebeer: I get used to shooting system in FIFA long time ago, but it is not about that, it is problem of the the way it looks, the way it works, the way it is done.. That is fact, as i am fan of both, and wish that there is 100 persent winner and didn't have to repeat question in my brain, which footy is better.. But then i have started to get stick with one and have desided, that PES got things which are more important for me, then things which are in FIFA.. Some people says that passing and basicly everything you can turn manual is better and I do understand why, but for that same reason is why I dont like it.. For me it is important to have some nice different situations, but not the way it is done in FIFA, where u affecting situation more, but quality of each player on the grass is deleted.. I do belive, that better human player will beat weaker Human Player.. But does this happening in real football? Does Man U plays unbeaten true the whole season? No way.. And that's point what i am talking about. I would like to be in football as real as it can get, not the way it looks, not the way of the control, but the way players feel that on the ground.. If you got team full of good team players, than they dont have to be that strong in invidual skills.. You cannot delete teamplay or possitioning, which they basicly do in FIFA.. And if someone like it, be so.. But i wish to have game from Konami as it always was.. Not super animated simulation, with best graphics.. But simulation of the romantic game, where every ability counts and no one even human player will not be able to cheat on this point as it is in FIFA.. I belive that none of you can doubt this..

I have most stuff on semi-auto, including shooting, shooting on assisted is a little too easy for me, only thing i got on Assisted is through balls, I got lobbed pass on manual too.

Its still hard for me on world class, won the league tho by 15 points in the end with AC Milan 1st season, ive won 8/9 league games so far this season, enjoying it just as much as i did pro evo.

That fifa video is a joke, i can honestly say after nearly 100 games and winning the league on world class, i highly doubt this guy is using manual or semi auto shooting, by looking at the bend on some of those shots, it seems like Assisted shooting has been used, which means the ball tends to fly on target. Plus the defense is so dodgy in those goals, wonder what mode it was on.

I promise you, you could never score a collection like that on world class with Semi auto shooting so dont worry about the goals u will score.

To be honest, I have scored far better than this guy, im talking about slick passing goals on world class.

FIFA shooting kills PES 2009 stone cold dead, there are many more way to finish and place shots than in pes 2009, try it on semi, and see if you can score those kind of goals.

This is the problem with fifa, alot of PES Fans are crossing over without learning how to play it properly, if you set everything to assisted on fifa then score goals like that, your missing the point.

Hey Buddy. Nice to see you're still sticking with Fifa and getting the rewards. I play with semi and manual shooting now and again, but am focusing more on getting my use of L2 and the trick stick down so i can go past players more. Unfortunately i'm playing Manager Mode with Leicester City on legendary, and Stevie Howard isn't the most nimble footed of players to practice with!

On the shooting side of things though, i've discovered that when you're attempting an across goal volley from an angle (Roberto Carlos, Van Basten style), it's best to use manual cross instead of shoot. You get more loft and reverse curl on the ball to make it bend and dip over the keeper. You can double tap the cross button for more power as well if you need it, but that makes gauging the overall power harder.

Fifa is good but im sick to death of the 10v10. Everybody bombs forward like the complete utter wankers they are and the defenders a so spasticated they dont even know what goal side means and occasionally mistake themselves for upfronters. I mean even simple things like a right winger should play on the right cant even be done. They run all over the place up the top of the pitch like twats and never track back which is really annoying because they bloody know they're fuking us about defensively. How hard is it to just play in your possition for a game?

It's not hard to do, muzza, but a lot of people want to be the striker. One of the main problems with 10v10 (it'd be the same in PES if it was possible) is that there'll be games where everyone wants to play as the striker.

The day that FIFA fixes the way their player move and react I will play Fifa non-stop.

Everytime I play they all seem to run and react the same way. PES seems to give every individual its own identity. Now Fifa has better graphics, I don't doubt that at all. It's just that gameplay atmosphere feeling that's lacking. Stadium and all else is great .

Yh i like playing as defensive mid to give my team much needed backbone. Its good because you get to go up a bit and can make loads of tackles and passes. Its really annoying though when ive waited like 3 hours to play and then finnally we kick off but the captain kicks me out of the team because im playing in his position or somin.
