The bonding with the team on ps2 pes was great. I remember when I'd score a goal I'd look at who was celebrating and wonder if they were mates off the pitch or whether they had lunch together at training. I remember well neeskins and zico were good mates on pes 6. Forgive me for my sadness, I was young.

If they can nail down fluid movement and good CPU AI, I will get my jollies off. If they really have these player specific annimations it will blow my mind.

The good old days.
I didn't think it was going to this hard to marry the playabilty of PES of old with the fancy new technology of today.

Saw the video with a bit of gamplay footage (havent looked at all the screenshots yet) I cant make a firm judgement obviously, but i have to be honest it didnt look hugely different, but we wait and see for more information.

ps. on wenb, pretty much everyone on that forum is sold, lmao, i mean, i cant see how a firm judgement can be made for either opinion just yet, but I got this hunch there arent that much major changes from a visual perspective, maybe im wrong, or maybe you need to play it to find out, i saw one of the barcleona defenders do the tradmark rigid turn and thought '' ahh shit, thats still there''

evo web aint that impressed by the looks of it, i just think people need to be more sensible, there are some muppets on wenb right now saying they can see how good the animations are based on the stills, fucks sake, i dont know how that works out. I got a feeling there might be more gameplay vids released today as it seems all the cunts in the video were filming gameplay footage, or maybe there is some kind of embargo on that stuff.

The screens look very good. There are some gameplay cuts in the tour video but they are not sharp enough to make anything out of them. I noticed the blur on the screens and heard some talking in the video about motion blur, did anyone get that?

I did, the more i hear about it, the more angry i begin to get, seriously, fucking motion blur, if this pes isnt up to fucking scratch we know why, 300 japanese in a room wanking off to hentai and pissing about with motion blur effects on replays.

This game better be fucking good, lets wait for more information, from the tiny video cuts, i wasnt blown away but i cant really make a proper judgement.

Wenb are sucking dicks again, ive seen at least one poster say its the best pes ever after a couple of still shots, fuck sake, as usual the only place where the grown ups talk is here or evo web.

This game looks nothing like PES 2010, are you all on fcking drugs? i know we all can have our opinions but its clear to see that Konami have been working on this for 2 years

Its a breath of fresh air and how everyone cant see that is beneath me

Plus, we still have 4 months of development, It's going to be BETTER than that (although it looks amazing alreadi).

Of course the game looks like 2010 The 2010 game was amazing when it came to graphics and the 2011 game will deffo look like 2010 from still screenshots. But what I want are the animations of the players and gameplay vids. I still have no idea about what 2011 will be like. And I´m amazed on how some people can see animations and even how the gameplay is gonna be from these screens

it seems manual passing is only invoked whilst holding down one of the trigger buttons, l2 in the case of ps3, which doesnt impress me, i was hoping for total manual controls, which is a bit hypocritical seeing as its been in fifa for a while and i havent used it, but i was kinda hoping konami were gonna force everyone to play manual by getting rid of assisted altogether, thus totally killing ping pong, doesnt look like this will happen.

but they may still make regular passing use a power meter, which at least would be better than before. semi-auto passes might be better for some situations, like when you need a quick flick pass in the box, than full manual. i'll still be disappointed if they don't implement normal ball physics for passes so the ball doesn't travel in straight lines though.

I think the game looks good from what ive seen. Cant say its great because aspects of the gameplay looked dodgy while others looked good. Impressions will really build build a better picture of how its going. In the vid there is a guy stood right infront of the gameplay tv with a pretty good video cam, he may of been working for eurogamer, who knows but hopefully (slim chance) we get some better footage of gameplay.

Even if the keepers are bad still they've prob been improved to atleast an ok standard. Its evidant from the vid that they still dive weird and dont react to simple shots though. There is also a moment where lots of players gather round the ball in the box and chase the player which looked horrible and tbh embarrising.

honestly i cant fathom the utter joy going on from certain people, the screenshots look good but if i was genuinley confident in my product i would show HD gameplay footage via web doc episodes you could download via xbox live, psn or game websites and have a dev explain the improvements. thats the way to let the loyal pissed off community see whats going, not screenshots where people make this embarrassing judgement on animations. i'm serious, i am usually a laid back kind of person but these people judging animations by screenshots need a good talking to and putting straight.

nothing is too early, FIFA has took a big shit on Konamis sales and if you want to gather genuine awe and pre-order buzz you get out any sort of preview thats not "behind closed doors" as soon as possible.
