Some may not like the limititations forced on a player's movement in PES and some may argue that the realism of the ball is more important and FIFA lacks in that department compared to PES.

I have played both and I PREFER PES, some of my mates PREFER FIFA.

Hell.... I think people may have different preferences.

There are flaws but the game is NOT rubbish. Fifa is not rubbish either but it also has flaws. If people end up loving PES don't get confused and frustrated. Or maybe you're frustrated cause you can't enjoy PES? perhaps you need to get a better understanding of football to better enjoy it. Till then aren't you glad that there is Fifa so that you can really dig in and enjoy the shitty gameplay..mmmm how nice.

Haven't played FIFA 09, apart from the demo for all of 10 minutes when it was available to download. I played, scored a goal, enjoyed it... (maybe felt a little dirty afterwards too!)

After the 10 mins it was straight back to Pro08 though. No matter what anyone says, FIFA doesn't catch the 'feel' of football like PE does... it never has done.

I was pretty impressed with FIFA though, good game and all that. Just not a patch on the real football game.

Haiz..I don't like FIFA. FIFA just seriously lack the football gameplay feel. Previous WE versions are definitely much superior than FIFA in terms of gameplay feel.That's why most of us prefer only WE. But, this WE2009 really makes me feel sick. Never I have feel like this since I converted to WE.

Really hope that Konami will take serious action. I believe they will. Let's see.

I'm sorry, but after playing PES6 and PES5 for years now, I think PES09 is rubbish. PES09 is average at best, I don't see WHY we should be satisfied with that.

And, I don't need to understand Football to enjoy PES09... it is because I understand Football so well that I can see just how rubbish this game really is. It is boring, it is dull, it isn't PES.

Stick to your thing, enjoy your average Football Sim.. and please stop moaning about us "moaners" for stating the obvious.

Trust me, if you were impressed by FIFA's demo (I wasn't) you'll love the full game, because that impressed me.

The fact is, FIFA is great this year whether people want to admit it or not. Granted, some PES die harders may've bought it and still disliked it, but I think the majority of people who doubted FIFA before would say 09 is a HUGE improvement, something PES 2009 isn't over 2008.

We can argue which game is better all day long, but the fact is if EA put out another great FIFA next year, it'll either put them streets ahead of PES, or force Seabass to get his arse in gear and do something about it, which I believe he can.

...Well, that just ain't true at all. PES 09 is probably an even bigger improvement over PES 08 than Fifa 09 is over Fifa 08. That's mostly because PES 08 had so many problems though. :blush:

Of course, online is another issue altogether in my opinion, and in that respect you are absolutely right about PES 09 not being a huge improvement. In everything else though, it's massively better, at least in my opinion.

But I also want to say that think positive criticism, the likes of which is rarely seen, can be much more impactful than negative criticism can ever be. It's amazing how you never seem to see anyone making actual positive suggestions. Those could be suggestions for things that could be changed, or improved, but if you take the time to put it in a positive way, you go a lot further to making yourself sound respectable, and that you're not just whining about how nobody will make the perfect football sim for you.

I think that PES 2009 is harder than 2008, so that's a step forward, but it seems to me that it's only harder because your team mate AI has been dumbed down. The AI feels like FIFA's AI in 06/07.

One thing that made PES's gameplay so far ahead of FIFA's on PS2 was the fact that your team-mates actually seemed like they knew what they were doing.
