"...contributing to PES series"? who the hell do you think you are? are you on the board of konami designers? Your just a game consumer amongst thousands others.
Dude take it easy. this is not save our planet from global warming.

just to make myself clear, I'm not against posting negative (constructive) criticism - on the contrary it's good to hear different perspective. it's just since the launch of the game i've read the same criticism over and over again. I'm just suggesting that perhaps its getting too redundant. Are we going to have the same arguments till the release of PES2010?

Don't take it personal.

Yes, some people will start the same argument time and time again until next year. Why?? Because people will find out sooner or later just how boring PES09 is. Or on the contrary, the game might grow on them.

Fact is that PES09 has been out for a few months, so the same argument will come up until the release of PES 2010. Can it become redundant?? No, simply because with each passing month customers will change their opinions.

It is that simple.

And again, you enjoy the game, you have no problems with the game, WHY are you posting in this thread??

the reality is there will still be soo many gamers who love PES09 not just in the UK or EU but all over Asia and south America. So please step aside from your own illusionary and self-centered view and try to accept the possibility that PES09 is still the favorite for many other gamers in the world.

What no mention of Canada or US? How dare you leave us out just cuz only a very tiny fraction of us love Pes or even know what footy is :crymore:

We should all stop arguing. Seems like we are all retarded. If you still think that PES09 is good despite all the serious flaws, fair enough and wish you all the best.

To us (the fans who dislike PES09), we don't like this game because of its serious flaws, which has kill the beauty of the game. Serious problems like : 8 directional passing =.='', AI team mate dumb down (auto running is awful even you or me can run better), Striker dumb down (85% of shot goes straight to goal keeper), AI automatically go for a rough slide tackle and give you red cards and award penalty to opponents, and so on...

We are serious die hard fans. I have a few game mate, who already play winning eleven for more than 13years, they are just like us, feel dissapointed with this latest Winning Eleven. We are not making stupid or baseless judgement. But people still want to argue it despite all the facts are there for you to see.

Many times, we feel really angry when playing the game, especially when the AI automatically go for a rough slide tackle and give you red cards and award penalty to opponents. I know many veterans or not veterans hate this problems. This has kill the beauty of the game. Isn't it? Need to argue anymore?

I'm from Malaysia. There are many serious die hard fans of winning eleven here. Most of us have been play winning eleven for more than 10 years. And most of us do watch real football game, especially English Premiere League. Don't think that we are making baseless critism, or just because we make critism, we are not PES fans.

I have a Japanese colleague in my company. I already ask him to help me to check through the Japanese forum, whether the japanese consumers are just like us, hate the game. He will help me to check this weekend.

Sad, I don't have the mood to play Winning Eleven09 anymore. I have decided to trade in the game and buy other game. I only play Winning Eleven and Tekken for so many years. Never try other games. Because I only have little time at night after works to play with friends and at weekend. Tekken Blood Line Revellion will only be released to PS3 console in Q3 of 2009. Thus, I have no more games to play. But I just bought World At War (Call Of Duty5) two weeks ago. I am new to this first person shooting game. After play the game Solo and Online, I deeply fall in love with it.

Really hope that Konami take serious action. How can they release a game which have so many serious flaws?! To us, maybe the next version will be the last chance, one more dissapointment, bye bye to Konami Winning Eleven. Really feel like Konami has betray us by releasing a game which have so many stupid flaws.

Every game has flaws, some major. When a game has serious flaws, as you mentioned 50 times in your thread. That game becomes unplayable.
A few may have left PES, because of some annoying occurences. But this is still the minority, such is the fan base for PES.

I'll briefly touch on some of the points you raised;

1) 8 directions (player and ball) - yes limited, but hardly noticeable as PES 2009 still plays an excellent game of football, not perfect, but which game is?

2) Shit load of red cards - When I started, my average was one red card every 2 games, pathetic indeed. Mostly the fault of computer AI. Now I'd honestly say I can't remember the last time I recieved a red card. Patience and the art of timing a tackle rectifies this problem. As for the AI jumping in with two feet, try switching a player wisely, IT WORKS.

Cant remember the other issues you have with the game, probably because they are petty and irrelavent, in my opinion.

No offence but your thread makes PES seem unplayable and unworthy of being sold in the market. Which is far from the truth.

Tis why I think your post is seriously flawed .

WEFORLIFE - I agree with you mate. The flaws and CPU "cheating" in this version are frustrating. What's more frustrating is the fact that FIFA is no where near as good as even a flawed PES so there is no where else to go football wise. I really don't mind losing if I'm outplayed by a team or if I have an off day - but when the glitches are so obvious on the screen then I'm affraid that's just cheating really.

I can understand Konami don't want the game to become too easy and they want to challenge people, but please be more subtle about giving the computer the advantage. It happened on PES 5 & 6 but was much less annoying. Better still why not introduce 2 or 3 higher skill levels for those that find it too easy? Also include a game speed option? Some say it's too fast some say too slow and some say it's fine. Solution? Game speed option!

In previous versions of the game I am addicted (with the exception of 2008!). This one will be remebered by me for being rediculously frustrating and cheating! I only pray that with 2010 we see an improvement. I can only play 2/3 games before I want to break something!!!

I've just wasted a chuck of my lunch break reading this unadulterated, uneducated, trivial shite. :faceplm:

FIFA has improved. It is still however one dimensional and contains equally as many 'flaws' as PES.

PES has moved slightly forward over 2008's arcade game.

Both games are good in their own rights. Each has sufficient merits for people to warrant preference. If progress continues as is, then it would be hard to argue against FIFA 'playing' the best game of football in it's next and inevitable incarnation.

So what? Play what you like and shut the fuck up moaning about the other.

Life, like my lunch break, is far too fucking short for trivialities.

Regardless of missing the point, I'd like to put your little mind at rest by informing you that neither my lunch break, or my life were ruined by this thread. I believe the word I used was "wasted". No matter.

I agree with you. That's the main reason I was posting here as well. Some of the arguments against the game were flawed and exaggerated. I believe it stems from very high expectations from the game since it's "next-gen" (if fifa does better in your opinion then go there - although many argue it even has more flaws).

yeh but could imagine if amateur was on the konami board of designers. i bet you we would be playing a much better version of pes right now. i remember a while ago i was arguing with amateur on these forums about the pes series and i have to admit that he does have strong points in what he says. i still play pes2009 every now and then but i always will play pes5 religously coz for me its the best version for realism and gameplay.

one other thing i hate about pes on next gen is not being able to have untucked shirts as an option in edit mode. it looks so stupid when you see players like ronaldo, berbatov, and messi with their shirts tucked in and also not being able to have players socks really low like totti used to have. i know its a petty thing to say coz it doesn't relate to gameplay but it does take away that authenticity and the individual look and style of players.
