It definitely has to be something that was set internally, because my PS3 isn't currently connected to the internet, yet it's messed up as well.

As that PCWorld article says, any game that supports trophies won't work.

Or so the theory says.

If they do work and there's no "syncing trophies" on start up, there's still a chance the trophies for that game could become screwed once this is fixed.

Sorry but how did Sony not know this was going to happen seeing as how they've fixed it in the Slim versions?

Imagine my surprise trying to get on Heavy Rain at 7:10am - not even noticing the time or date - and being confronted by the error. I only noticed the date and time as I'd told the system to shut down and then started it up again and went a-typing into Google to see if it was a widespread issue.

I want a different ending dammit!!

The thing that pisses me off the most about the issue, is the fact that I couldn't give two shits about trophies. If I could just rid off them completely, I would.

The slim was announced about 3 months after I bought a PS3. God-damn it. Better be fixed in time for BC2. I pre-ordered it last night. :faceplm:

Agreed. I'm a PC gamer firstly as everyone knows and as such, I couldn't give a flying toss about this sort of thing.

I would never attempt to get a trophy but when I do achieve one I smile.

Well, one complaint is the fact that it now seems that the trophies have to sync before we play a game, whereas the 360's achievements don't.

I'm just thankful I managed to put Final Fantasy 7 onto a memory stick yesterday so I can play it on my psp while my ps3 is boned. Any and all downloaded titles will not work on the ps3 as they now have no "owner"!!
