When I got infected during a vampire quest, I went to the temple in err...a city but can't remember which one...touched the altar and was cured.

The best way to get in the thieves' guild is what I did:

Follow the female when you're given the diary quest, knock her out once she's stolen it, take it from her body and then return it to Armand Christophe yourself. Genius.

Aye but I'm a full-grown vampire now, I have to perform a big quest. Know where I can find Greater Soul Gems?

As for the quest, I did the Sword thingy after you miss the Diary, that's even easier as all you do is a bit of lockpicking, then grab the sword from some chest upstairs. Plus the lizard guy doesn't even bother.

Yeah I had to do a huge quest to get rid of my vampirism.

You can find greater soul gems in the university in the main city (you'll need alot of lockpicks), there's one (maybe 2) in one of the cases in the uni.

Also try all the mages guilds (found in all major cities), and in the cases there they'll usually have a few greater soul gems.

I think you are supposed to talk to this guy at the Arcane University, he then reads them and asks you to come back the next day.

It's somewhere near the Imperial City Waterfront, try setting it as your active quest so you can follow the Green/Red marker. You have to steal a sword this time, but don't worry because the other guy won't steal it in 15 years.Just return to the place where you got the Quest for the diary and talk to the guy at midnight.

Done the first bit. Wondered off on another quest shortly after. Will do the Thieves Guild thingy later. Thanks.

Think you can only buy them if you're in the Thieves' Guild.
Thats abit of a turkey like.

I'm in *The Dark Brotherhood* so I'm needing them for near enough every quest. I'm no good at picking locks either so I do auto attempt which can use up apart 20 odd depending on the difficulty.

Where the hell do I buy lockpicks?

Getting back into the game now

Mh, I know a guy who sells them. I think he's stationed outside of the walls of Imperial City. Just head for the South-West part of the Wall....

Aye, between midnight and 3 or something. But he's a Thieves Guild associate isnt he? I think it's 5 gold for one.

Another option would be a spell, like an Open Easy Lock, if that's the way you swing. Otherwise you'll just have to look in some crates or something.

I'll have a look for him then, by look I mean a quick slap round the head with me axe.

I found out someone in the Brotherhood sells them but *I had to kill the great ding*

God knows what i'm doing on the game now, the main quest seems to have gone off my map. I've probally killed one of the main guys knowing me.

If I can get it to run on a 128MB GeForce FX5500 I should be alright with a Geforce 6200 512MB don't you think?

Currently in Oblivion i'm a member of the Thieves guild and the Dark brotherhood
I haven't even gone to that priory place yet:tongue:

Yes you should be able to get it working on a 6200A....but do the x200 series support pixel shading correctly?

Anyone have the Staff of Worms yet? I'm Arch-Mage of the Mages Guild now ;)

It can turn dead people into living people for 30 seconds, pretty nifty.

I need to get back into playing this...I really do....what sort of character is everyone playing as?

Well, I actually deleted my previous one where I was the Fighting kind of type, so I started over with a Breton>The Apprentice. Bit of Magic-like.

Y'know, Conuration and Destruction mainly.

I was going to take a Breton necromancer after my rogue-type-assassin levelled way too quickly and the game got stupidly hard but I like to be able to see in the dark so if I can't get a good night vision spell I'm going to have to be a Khajit necromancer
