Indeed he was, Robson gave him AIDS thank god. Although we really should have seen the explicit sex act between the pair.

Via Oz I've just found out his real name: Emanuel 'Manny' Yarborough. Weighed 800lbs at one point. What a fat cunt.

Would be nice to create Butterbean as well, just for kicks, even though the plump fucker looks like a stranded beetle when he's grounded...

lol, it would be funny alright seeing the fat fuck on the ground.....

Anyway, I havent played it online yet because of the online cheating I have been reading about but I cant wait until the cheat is fixed and as was said, the fuckers should be named and shamed.

BTW, has anyone created Kimbo Slice yet? (he is appearing in the new season on the Ultimate Fighter, he has no chance of winning it)

I 100% agree about the more in depth create-a-fighter. It should have more hair styles and countries/counties to choose from. I was talking to a mate earlier about the game and what it needs i.e the prospect of your own music to walk down to, he chose Kasabian - Club Foot and I opted for Wham - Club Tropicana.

What would you choose, Barn?

That's a great idea. I think The Irish Rover would be a good song to come out to. I think it's Bernard Dunne's entrance song and it always gets the crowd going. Or maybe a bit of Tiesto, just to get the crowd bouncing!

I think I remember someone posting that they reached level 5 in something. I could be wrong.

It could be that they're scared to play you, rather than them thinking you're a cheat. I was matched up against someone who had nearly forty wins in one of my first games, but I had to back away, because I was nowhere near his level.

That could be a possibility, I suppose.

I'll have to enter a few tournaments (after the patch) to really test myself. I'm certain that there are still areas where I can improve. There are a lot of people online who have huge gaps in their game, either in the stand-up or more so on the deck, and once that is found out it's effectively over. It's great playing against my best mate because he is sound at the game, although he is yet to register a victory over me but, it's becoming a real struggle as of late. Brilliant!

My character stopped developing at Kickboxing Level 3 & BJJ Level 3. I'm wondering if it's possible to maybe change it up with a future character, and get Kickboxing/Boxing/Muay Thai Level 4 & BJJ/Wrestling/Judo Level 2, for example.

Yeah, I think there might be a balance.

Alas, I do think all of this success in inflating my ego. It was just last week I was rocking my opponents (group of friends) and surrendering the kill to back off and taunt them to get back up. In all honesty, I need a good kicking. Especially after the smug look on my face the whole time while I was mopping the Octogon with them as Mark Coleman, while they took turns with Brock Lesnar.

I'm decent at the game like but, I find that it's more so most people I've been matched up against being too one dimensional and overly eager in the stand-up, and having a non-existant ground game. I may find that upon coming up against a more balanced opponent that I may well get smashed.

Just got back from my week off last night so I've been missing in action for a while.

Threw on the game a couple of hours ago just to get back into the swing of things. Usually it's not a matter of trying to get into the hang of a game again, but with the control system being so in depth I felt I had to in order to succeed of course. I've had 3 online fights today, the first was just a Player match which I won. My opponent was continuously swinging like crazy, so I done the simple takedown and leg bar submission to defeat him in the first round. The second fight was a Ranked online match and this was a little more tricky. The entire first round was even, although I may have just pipped it on damage done. The second though he was viciously going for the submission, and several times he tried to submit me and then gave up halfway through the submission - I clocked on to what he was doing, merely trying to wear me out for a real submission. Shame he wore himself out, as after around 4 "half" submissions from him, I stuck him in a leg bar and submitted him, I was smug as hell. My third fight was pathetically annoying as is the case sometimes, within the first few minutes I mounted him and reigned down blows only for this freak to disconnect as I was knocking him out. So I sent him a nice message, shame it takes forever to type them out.

But when you're pissed off, it doesn't really bother you all that much, does it?

Anyone used the CAF to create real-life fighters yet? I've been using the formulas/stats from the ufc-caf site to make;

Bobby Lashley (looks really good)

Shane Carwin (another good one)

Jon Jones (from the pic used to compare it, good)

Matt Hamill (See above)

Marifuji Yamamoto (My favourite. Probably not as good of a CAF as Lashley or Carwin, but I like using him)

I've also created Kurt Angle. I did that myself and he was the first I created. Badly need someone to post a formula though, because mine sucks. I've got the bald head part right, at least. >_>

But when you're pissed off, it doesn't really bother you all that much, does it?

I never get pissed off playing games anymore generally, I left that behind me years ago, but being disconnected definitely annoys me for a couple of minutes. It's just the matter of being cheated that irritates me, especially when I'm looking for good honest battles online, combined with the fact I never disconnect myself making it seem more unfair.

I've had opponents quit on me two fights in a row now and it's pretty ridiculous, especially when you've worked incredibly hard for the win, feels awful.

It's only a game

Take it on the chin, it doesn't really matter does it?

That's the annoying part.

You try to play the game and have fun against someone, but they quit on you because their record means more to them than having fun playing it.

Spot on.

It is only a game, yet it isn't when people continue to quit during a fight. I play the game online to test my skills and have some competitive fun in my spare time, yet where is the fun when my opponents disconnect during a match ? Sort of defeats the point of playing the game.

Sometimes, you can tell when someone is about to reach breaking point and will disconnect anytime soon. Listening to what they say, espcially if you are winning, they will start chatting shit to you, then you know you've got them.

I've moved up to Expert now. Go me.

I think I definitely need to be more conservative and play for points victories because I had 5 fights against Gouveia, won 1 with a first round KO, but lost the rest via submission. The sub defence of my guy was 70-odd too, but every time he locked one in, I couldn't get out unless the stamina bar (I've had it on since buying the game) was still green. When it was the darker green with yellow and red appearing, there was no way I could escape, whatever method I used. :/

Anyone else on expert? If so, what's the best way to escape these subs?

Hunter

Yeah, been on Expert since the demo to be honest, the sooner you bump up the difficulty, the quicker you'll adapt. As for slipping out of submissions, I tend to just go mental spinning the right analog stick clockwise with the palm of my hand. Fatigue and injuries are setting in mind, I'm fearing the skin on my palm will rip off soon it's getting that competitive.

Just lost 2 fights in a row online, sucks mega. The first was to a guy who was 35-2, he chose Forrest and I chose Machida. He battered me on the ground in the 1st round, but overall I was getting the better of the stand up, especially in the 2nd round until he knocked me out with a head kick. Fair play to him, he was just a much better fighter. The second was level 50, but very annoying. He just got up close to me with his character and was just button mashing literally, he was repeatedly spamming the short knee strikes and I simply couldn't do anything but get pummelled by them. I couldn't move back or attempt a takedown because my guy was too busy groaning due to being kneed in the leg every second. It was definitely some form of glitch which he exploited, then he later full mounted me which I struggled to get out of as he continued to reverse my transitions and then once he had my back he stuck me in a rear naked choke which I simply couldn't escape from. Quite irritating considering when I looked at damage done, my left leg has sustained 100% damage, all through those silly little knees in the space of about 20 seconds, of which I couldn't even move.

My record is now 19-11, should be 24-11 mind (I was quit on just before my 2-losing streak) which aggitated me slightly more. THQ really need to bring out this patch pronto, I've even had someone disconnect from a match because I was battering them on "Player" match!

Thats happened to me twice on Player and once on Ranked. I didnt mind the Player Match quits but the Ranked one was my first online and I tapped him out (the first executed submission Ive ever done)

I just go nuts and tap every button on the controller  Seems to work.

I'm still pretty terrible at this game i just can't get to grips with the clinch and ground grapple controls. If i can manage to stay on my feet i seem to do alright, its just once i'm on the ground it takes me an age to get back to my feet.

My online record is 12-16-0 which is not too bad considering. If anyone wants a few games just send me a message or something. Preferably someone shite (Dale?) so i can actually win for once
