Topspin 4

It's alright

I enjoyed Top Spin 4, but I got rid of it because of all the nobheads online. Most of them French. I don't hate the French in general, just French gamers.

Amen.

Oh and don't mention runs to Viperized. It'll bring back bad memories.

:eek:hmy:

The first MGS game was alright, I didn't bother with the rest,

I'm getting quite into Assassin's Creed II right now. I thought the first was quite repetitive, which put me off initially buying the second for a good while. I just fancied buying a game or two though given the drought at the moment, and having heard some really great reviews about ACII and how it's such an improvement over the first, I couldn't turn down the GOTY edition on Amazon for about just £11 I think a few weeks ago.

I'm not too far into the story at the moment mind, maybe 15-20% at a guess, but I do like to take my times with games. I've never been one to rush through stories, I really like savouring them and appreciating the environments etc.

Did you get rid of it before they patched online? It seems pretty fair now, you can't pull or ridiculous angled shots and serves as much anymore.

Madden 12 taking up most of my time since I bought it. Tight game. Still don't like defenders at the line of scrimmage intercepting passes targeted for receivers 15 yards downfield. That would be an inhuman leap. EA Madden team supposedly tuning for this.

I got rid of it a couple of weeks ago. To many players that have attributes in the extremes, like having 100 power. It's just so unrealistic, it ruins it. The serves are just as bad as they were before. The last 5 or 6 games I played were all against nobhead power abusers, I just had enough so I got rid.

Mafia II was one of those proper good games. I completed it the other night. And I loved every second of it. It's a beautiful game world with a cracking atmosphere that really pulls you in. Vito, Joe and Henry were brilliant characters. The story could be called predictable in parts, but it was non-the-less a story to enjoy and one that I wanted to see through until the very end. I settled into the vehicle handling like a duck to water and quickly adjusting to the shooting mechanics. I honestly had a problem with neither, after seeing others ragging on them. It's £14.99 at most places now, and probably cheaper at a few others. And that's for the version that comes with the DLC packs as standard.

I pretty much agree with this. Some of the reviews it received were ridiculously harsh and I'm at a loss how Eurogamer could give it as little as 4/10. I found the driving iffy at best with the demo, but become much more comfortable with it during the game.

So many great little touches that people won't discover. I robbed a gun store, and came back a few minutes later to see it in darkness and cornered off in tape.

There's untapped potential which prevents this from being an all-time great. Didn't like the very ending cinematic, and the latter half to the story could've been padded out. You're jumping between homes every other chapter. Would've also liked a bit more time in the snow setting. The story can be completed in 8-10 hours, and there's zero side-quests. I have no idea why you can go visit Bruski or Derek when they never have a job. The missions were nearly all excellent; I just wished for more.

Can't give the soundtrack (and voice acting) enough plaudits. Really, really superb. Dean Martin, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Benny Goodman, Chuck Berry? :bravo:

Mafia II is definitely one of my favourite games of 2010, up there with Read Dead Redemption, Nier and Dead Rising 2. One of the best atmospheres in any game, ever. Some brilliant shoot outs too, the one at the docks and the one in china town automatically jump to mind.

Playing Deus Ed: Human Revolution. Entertaining so far.

I agree. Mafia II was easily my favourite game of 2010. Completed it 1000G just because I really wanted to play the game.. even after completing it. Brilliant game.

The mission when you pretend to be window washers is fucking brilliant.

Just finished Bad Company 1 last night. Not quite as good as 2 but still a really decent campaign in there. Some comical moments too and I think it's a shame Battlefield 3 isn't another Bad Company as the humorous story makes it more enjoyable to play through than the campaign modes of the likes of Black Ops or Medal of Honour.

I completed GTAIV The Ballad of Gay Tony last weekend and I'm going to get back on Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and get it completed. The full synchronisation for some of the memories is bloody tough.

I've not played Assassin's Creed II in a good few days now, I'll have to get back into it next weekend sometime.

I've been really enjoying Skate 3, and also now the PES 2012 demo (which I've just flicked on for a game or two).

Awaiting Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 ultimately though. :naughty:

The Ballad of Gay Tony is easily the best of the two expansion packs. I'm tempted to complete GTAIV again - first time was on the 360 - just to see how it holds up against TboGT.

The Episodes from LC (well, Gay Tony) has Vice City FM which automatically makes it great

Been playing WWE All-Stars. It's pretty bad. Fantasy warfare is excellent and the only stand-out thing. Controls are awful: L1 is counter grabbles, R1 is block strikes but L1+R1 together is perform your finish. So instead of going for a Rock Bottom he stands there shielding his face.
