Wrestling Video Games (WWE '13)

BELIEVE
Even if the maneuvers may be the same (I'll check the trailer out later tonight), then I won't be pleased, but I'm sure it will stay remain a great quality game. WWE 12s game was based around the most important aspect - gameplay.

Another few little sneak peaks into WWE 13; the inclusion of the Attitude Era (click this link) for a little more information and Attitude Era screenshots.

Worth noting as well, the front cover looks sweet.

I am loving this right here:

Alongside selecting arenas, characters and the number of finishing moves available at the start of a match (a new option, which can range from 0 to Infinite), players will be able to adjust a setting called ‘Match Experience’. Three settings - “Quick”, “Normal” and “Epic” - will affect the overall pacing of a fight, independent of AI difficulty. Factors such as momentum, damage, enemy aggressiveness and even kick out and reversal rates will be affected. The difference can be staggering. Quick matches feel lightning quick compared to epic ones, where superstars seem to have limitless stamina - and health. Best of all, this concept will make its way into the single player campaign as well.

Wow, that's exactly what I envisioned after the WWE 12 universe mode. I told myself, what if there was an option before the match to make a quick match and not having to do a 5 star match all the time (with finisher reversals and kick outs). I guess it will come true. I hope it is true because that will make the universe much better and realistic.

BELIEVE
Everyone think it's worth creating an actual thread for WWE '13?

This thread is already pushing on for nearly 30 pages, and with the WWE video game series beginnning to take off again in a new direction somewhat, I feel it's probably worth making seperate threads for the new WWE releases (providing they're not mini-arcade-esque games to buy for cheap).

Least this way, we'll have all of the WWE '13 information, screenshots and videos in one specific thread as opposed to having just a thread for all WWE games, and certain discussions becoming lost in the pile.

Voice your thoughts!

BISH! New game Create An Arena allows you to modify the stage set now. Not only that, but you can pick the size and setting. For example, your arena can be in a gyms, bingo halls, or massive stadiums like WrestleMania! :excited:

Yeah, I read that. Editing a stage, ramp, crowd lighting, crowd size, create an arena does sound pretty awesome now and the possibilities it offers.

They're unsurprisingly going all out this time after the mess with the last game. If Universe mode is properly improved I'll be tempted, even though I got bored of the gameplay in '12 and don't expect massive changes. Still felt too fast and jumpy for me. At least weight detection is in.

I agree. And that is where the match type (short, normal, epic) will hopefully come into play to offer something different.

Universe 2.0 was a big upgrade on 1.0, so hopefully it continues to follow suit. Still gotta wait to hear though.

Catching people jumping off the top rope with a finisher is going to be ridiculously fun.

It does look good. But I'm fed up of really looking forward to games (particularly WWE ones) and then them just being meh when I get them. This needs to be awesome.

Will there be a separate mode for Attitude Era?

The 'Road to WrestleMania' has been replaced by Attitude Era stories.
