Regarding Road To Wrestlemania mode:

So what did everyone's Jacob Cass look like then? I'm quite pleased with mine - I'll try and post a photo up tomorrow if I remember. I've kept it simple, with a pink singlet, white boots and kneepads (along with white wrist tape). Paying homage to the Hart Dynasty, while throwing in a little modern flare with the long white knee pads as well as sleeveless black vest for entrance/cinematic attire (Christian/Ziggler-esque). I'm pretty happy with it. Cass's moveset seems to be good as well. It seems to fit the mould of what his moveset would be - traditional wrestling maneuvers such as various suplexes, arm drags and holds, but with some flare thrown in - inclusion of the hurricanrana and enziguri etc.

I had a really great match against Daniel Bryan to start off. Plenty of reversals, as well as a back and forth match with many pin attempts (by myself primarily - given I'm the newcomer, I'd be eager for the win, hence my decision to go for the pin when I could). ;)

By any chance (without revealing spoilers regarding the storyline) does the Jacob Cass character become playable outside of the Road To Wrestlemania mode?

Thanks man, appreciate it. I've been having a blast in Road To Wrestlemania. It's been such good fun. I'll give my thoughts, and go more in-depth once I've completed finished the mode though which will be in the next few days I think.

I can't believe it. I absolutely suck against the CPU yet on my first online match in an elimination tornado match I won! Hit my signature and finisher on two opponents before pinning them. Felt ... sweet!

Road to wrestlemania is incredible this year. It's was way more believable this year and the Jacob Cass storyline was really well made too.

I designed my CAW from scratch, I even made a custom shirt for him just like the other wrestlers. I also used the crotch blur to make him even more believable. My caw also has custom paint tools as tattoos that I designed myself. I spend alot and alot of time into my paint tools and I feel like they are really well made. Oh and just to make it complete, I also edited a custom video with my caw in it (I created it myself not from those preset ones). I feel that after 2 months of work, it is complete. Yes it takes that long if you want to get it 100% right. :) Basically, my CAW has everything custom made. Now, I am working on the boots as I don't want to over do it, but at the same time, I don't want it plain.

Anyway, I am impressed with this year's edit mode or caw mode TBH because it provides you with almost everything you need and the paint tool is the best thing they have ever invented for the editing as it makes caws way better. Now all they need is to add a blur effect to the paint tools to get rid of some of the rough edges and it will be perfect. :)

WWE 12 is definitely an awesome game and a must have if you like wwe and wrestling in general. But this year, the game is leaps and bounds above SVR 11 because they made changes WHERE IT REALLY MATTERS. So thank you to THQ there, they deserve it this year.

The CAW use on online matches has saved this game for me. I've got terrible timing against the CPU and I've got to say I loathe the amount of AI reversals, it often gets a bit daft, but then like I said I've got terrible timing so I'm unlikely to wax lyrical about that.

Anyhow, love the online matches, sure I get plenty of lag thanks to everyone else being American which sometimes works to my detriment but I love see the CAW people create. Some are truly are impressive whereas some as so shite it beggars belief. Myself I've taken it far to seriously and created quite a balanced heavyweight, my signatures are a facebuster which stuns the opponent for my finisher and a running leg drop after rebounding off the ropes. My finishers are the Flapjack and Flapjack 3.

Just getting to grips with the grappling system, I put the settings to easy and whacked the AI reversals right down to get to grips with the controls. I've found that circle on the PS3 controller reverses running attacks and I've finally cracked the limb targeting system.

The online play is a nice alterative to my usual Killzone fix so I'm quite chuffed how cheap I got this thanks to Joel's shout out.

Barndoor, is this game any good?

I doubt he's played it to be fair.

Speaking as someone who still owns No Mercy and still regards it as the benchmark, it's pretty good. The general flow of the matches feels more real. It's a new predator technology their using and for a first go, it's not bad. Some of the animations don't look right though. Definitely room for improvement but a step up from the undisputed shite they were offering before.

I'm over 90% sure a legends simulation game will be announced before the month ends.

Bishop's right, I haven't played it. And a Legends game will only be worth it with the AKI engine.

WWE Brawl...in association with Def Jam: Fight for New York. -_-

On another note, Chris Jericho will be in WWE '12 very soon, as 'free' DLC, so says the developers cryptically in their Community Creations message. They use the term "break the walls down" when describing this content, so unless they're pulling a Y2J on us and trolling us all - it's got to be him.

I'd love to see Jericho's entrance though. Lights go out, flashing jacket on.

I've just finished Road To Wrestlemania too:

I really enjoyed it. Although, the final Hero Story was a bit of a drag I think. It was probably due to a lack of believability I think. My favourite part of the mode had to be fighting as Sheamus - The United Kingdom story was such good fun. Sometimes it also felt like I had no control over events. We'd be given objectives such as 'weaken so and so', but after battling it out and indeed weakening this opponent, it just turns out we are the ones who get battered and sometimes beat anyway. I understand there's the need for story progression, but I think it made me feel somewhat secondary at times as a result. Overall though, Road to Wrestlemania was very good, and far exceeded my expectations in all honesty.

Now onto WWE Universe mode soon I think. I may hold off a week or two, in order to wait for the new DLC to arrive (Brodus Clay). But also, at the same time of this DLC release, there's going to be "a multitude of improvements to Universe Mode". As I say, I've not touched the mode yet, so I have no idea what they could be, but I think I'll wait until it's released before I dive right in.

I would love a Chris Jericho DLC especially if it's free. I wonder if the new Masked Kane will be a DLC too. Kane deserves to be in this great game. I really like this new Kane btw, the mask makes him look more evil than ever and the way he talks on the mic is legendary. No man in WWE has that kind of evil in his voice. Glen Jacobs is an amazing performer.

Anyway as for WWE UNIVERSE. Hunter, I suggest you take it slowly and patiently as it will frustrate you because they made some changes which aren't apparent at first and you will also have a hard time till you get yout grips with it. But trust me, it's amazing.

My brother managed to build a fatal 4 way for the title, something not possible in SVR 11. You have to think heavily into it though, but believe me, this year, WWE 12 is better in every way than 11, even the Universe mode. :)

Oh and they will add more things to the universe? Hmm, interesting to say the least.

I won't really be able to relate to any changes as I've not played a wrestling game since perhaps Here Comes The Pain I think, so the WWE Universe mode is completely new to me. It does seem a little complex, but I'll have a real look at it later as I say.

I'm just putting the finishing touches right now on Epico & Primo. I've done what I usually do, and that's simply download the created Superstars from Community Creations and tweak them, to make them better in my opinion. A much quicker way of getting an overall good final result I think, as opposed to meticulously designing each wrestler's tights, trunks, boots etc.

Looks like I was wrong about a legends game, sounds like it's gonna be a re-release and upgraded version of Wrestlefest for IPhone and, I hope, PSN/X-Box live. Apparently it's the original roster (which is awesome) plus a mix of current and other legends.

Could be good.

I'm having a blast with WWE '12.

I've been downloading plenty of custom made arenas and wrestlers from Xbox Live. One thing that is slightly disappointing, is that in the Create An Arena mode, we can't actually create an "arena" - it's actually more so Create A Ring to be honest. I'd love the opportunity to alter the entrance stage as well, that's when it would reach the next level of awesomeness I think.

I'll probably create my own Superstars soon though, complete with movesets and detailed designs.

I'm just too busy having fun with plain old one-on-one matches. One of my favourite matches has to be Razor Ramon vs. Bret Hart which I played just yesterday. As far as in-ring stories go, it was magical. Back and forth, a close contest with some perfectly executed finishers and reversals. Gorgeous. Is there anyway to upload replays onto the internet with ease?
