Up 'til recently it would have been either L.A. Noire for it's novelty or Forza 4, just because I'm a petrol head... but now there can really be only one winner:

I agree with the man whose post resides just above that of mine (the man old enough to be one of the Greybeards...perhaps that's why he frequents the internet, to avoid maiming us all with the Thu'um...that just led me to the thought what all would break loose if BarnDoor would possess that...dear me!), The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Quite early to decide - and I haven't played many games this year either - but I don't see anything coming close to ACR. FIFA12's alright and LA Noire was pretty good (although it had potential to be so much better).

I was going to do a thread on this towards the end of December, perhaps with a poll, I was gonna post it a few days back but then thought people might be getting games for christmas so i'd hold fire.

Ah well, give me a few weeks and i'll be able to answer. A few days (zelda) or a week (skyrim) just isn't enough time to judge imo.

I'm heavily leaning to the former as it has literally blown away my (admittedly limited) expectations in the 20 hours i've put into it since friday (yes all i've done is sit, play and wank)

Skyrim for me. I know soo many people who hate these RPG sort of games yet have played over 30+ hrs of it already.

Haribo you bastard, I was just writing a reply in your other thread with a long list of candidates for GOTY and went to post, thread no longer existed so my post was lost!!

Saying that you have most of the titles there and the other ones I suggested probably wouldn';t have received votes (Saints Row 3, Resistance 3, Ico Collection etc)

Reviews averaged better than all but 5 games on that list Bam. a.k.a it pisses on Revelations :nath:

I didn't want to go too mad on poll options. There's also Dead Space 2, Killzone 3, Infamous 2, The Witcher 2 and er...PES.

EDIT: Christ, Dark Souls and Crysis 2 as well.

As with Zelda sminky, Killzone 3 is likely to only have got one vote on this forum, which is why i'm quite surprised to actually see it on the list (probably due to me wanking it off in a few posts).

The major difference being though, judging by critical reception, Zelda will more than likely be GOTY or there abouts in quite a few gaming magazines/websites lists so it makes sense to have a genuine contender on there.

It's just a shame none of you guys would give it the time of day!!

I haven't played ANY of the games on the shortlist. I'm so old and out of touch.

I've only played L.A. Noire, FIFA 12 and, just recently, Arkham City. Of these three, L.A. Noire is probably my favourite, but I, natuarally, have spent more time on FIFA 12.

I hope to get Uncharted 3 this weekend. I'll probably get Assassin's Creed in January and Gears Of War 3 (and Xbox 360) in February. So, I won't be voting just yet.

If only I won the lottery jackpot, I could quit my job and sped all day playing video games.

I've only played LA Noire, Forza 4 and MW3 from that list.

Of the above three, I'd say LA Noire stands out as the most enjoyable experience.

Where's Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 though? :joel: In all seriousness though, it's better than the Little Big Planet series.
